This is Forestclan. The most earthbound cat clan in the forest. The cats that live here don't believe they rule the forest, the know the forest allows them to live and prosper under the arms of the tall evergreen trees. The respect for every living, breathing creature these cats have is unbelievable....but that all changed...
The forest went up in fire, smoke filled breathing creature's lungs, roasted every strand of fur, destroyed every burrow, every habitat, every civilization was lost....and now...There's only dust...

Warrior Code
1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from the other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their
warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen
before moonhigh.
10. A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

Duskstar stood on a tree stump. Ashes coated his white paws and the bottom of his tail. He looked down at the camp and at the few cats what were in it. He sighed sadly, thinking back to the day of the great fire. He then looked up to the sky, which he could now see clearly without any tree branches blocking his view. He watched the birds and the clouds as they slowly rolled through the sky. "Beautiful..." he thought out loud, then he looked back at his camp and sighed heavily. He felt a gentle breeze blow through his fur, shoving the dry scent of the burned pine and maple and oak through his nose, making him stiffen.

The pretty diluted calico padded outside of the Warrior's Den, her eyes shining in the pale sunlight as the sun graced the land with its gentle rays. She sighed softly, closing her eyes amongst the peacefulness. She looked over to see Duskstar taking in the view and almost heard him mutter something, she just couldn't tell what he was saying. "Duskstar, hello." she meowed with a small purr as she dipped her head respectfully. Fawnbrook didn't know he was awake until she turned to see him. It was somewhat early, so she was surprised to know that she wasn't the only one up.

Duskstar jumped a bit when Fawnbrook spoke but instantly relaxed and a warm smile grew on his face. "Good morning Fawnbrook. Sleep well?" He asked, stepping closer to her, purring a tiny bit as well though he tried to fight it. He was trying not to come off to strong my instantly flirting...but he did honestly find her very attractive...

The shecat purred softly, her tail tapping her back leg lightly as it flicked about normally. She was slightly nervous, she didn't regularly speak with Duskstar, as she... well... liked him. However, he didn't know this yet, so she didn't need to be as afraid. Still, every time she was near him, she felt strange. She looked up to meet his gaze, her soft green eyes looking into his amber orbs. "Yes, how about you?" she asked with a small smile.

He chucked softly and smiled happily. "I slept okay...still having some nightmares about the fire though...I hate how the wind carries the burning smell...I used to love the breeze...but now I dont even want to breath when I feel it coming..." he sighed softly and shook his head slowly. "Well...how's the hunting going? Find anything yet?" He asked, sounding hopeful.

Fawnbrook let out a sad sigh, nodding as she reconciled about the flames that engulfed the once-beautiful forest. She could never forget- even when she walked her paws crunched ashes underneath her. It was a constant reminder of their life before the fire, and she knew that they would never forget. "I know how you feel. I still remember seeing..." she began, taking in a gulp of air as she searched for her brother's name. "Thornblaze." she muttered, her head hanging low. She missed her brother dearly and not a day went by that she didn't think of him. She had found his charred body one day and it had broken her heart. She thought he was just out getting water to hydrate him after the drying flames blazed around them, but he was taken by the dancing red thieves. Many cats were lost that day, including Thornblaze and his mate, Mistyleaf, who was carrying Fawnbrook's unborn nieces and nephews. "Hunting..." she began, glad to change the subject. "Honestly not great, but there is still some prey out there. The fire chased most of it away and I fear it's going to be hard to feed everyone." she meowed, looking up to meet his eyes again. She was clearly worried now, though.

Duskstar nuzzled her comfortingly and his tail brushed softly along hers. He had known about her finding her brother. He had helped her bury him actually. Duskstar's head gently nuzzled hers under his chin and he murmured. "I know you miss them..." he whispered. "I lost my sister as well. But just think...all of them are now helping us survive here. They're working their hardest to try to give life back to this forest in exchange for theirs. That's why they died. To give their life to the forest...You'll see it soon. I promise you that." He whispered and sighed when she told him the news about the hunting. "Maybe if we tried leaving the forest..." he muttered half to himself.
