We are IncandescentClan, the clan of mighty cats. We are warriors. We are gods.
IncandescentClan is a clan of special cats, science experiments gone wrong. Originally, scientists were trying to make a glowing cat, however they were unsuccessful. The only experiment that survived was a large tom who they called Incandescent. The scientists had wanted a cat who glows completely but Incandescent only had glowing eyes and claws and they only glowed in the dark. Incandescent surprised his creators. The various genes that had put in him began to show, other traits coming through. He proved to be intelligent, almost on a human level. Incandescent could read. He was also vicious.
One dark night, the glowing eyed tom managed to escape. And the humans came after him. He found sanctuary in what is now called the Color Pool. Desperate to eradicate him, the humans shot him. Incandescent's blood seeped into the water, giving it its ability to bestow the glowing traits upon normal cats. The humans left, thinking he was dead, and Incandescent created his clan.
Those who joined the clan were taken to the Color Pool, those who were born from the Colored had their Color already.
Today, the Coloring is a ceremony preformed by medicine cats on kits. Newborn kits are taken to the Color Pool on their second moon. Here they are dipped into the pool and the pool will light up with whatever their color is. The it will then open their eyes for the first time and the ceremony is done.
You are walking through the forest, your paws dragging. You see something out of the corner of your eye... A glow... Suddenly, the whole forest lights up around you.
A voice booms, "You have stumbled into dangerous territory."
You cannot see the creature who spoke, so you hurriedly dash in the other direction.
"Go no further!" the voice booms again and this time it comes from everywhere.
Suddenly the whole forest is alight with pairs of glowing orbs and slithers. You watch in fear as they move about, keeping at a distance.
As a pair of glowing orbs come closer, your eyes begin to see the shape. That when you realise. Its a cat, and its eyes and claws are glowing...

Dictionary
Color/glow: The genes placed in Incandsecentstar that mutated and exhibited glowing eyes and claws. The term 'color' refers specifically to the shade/tint that the eyes and claws glow. These genes have been passed down the generation. It is considered a mutation in IncandescentClan if a cat isn't Coloured.
Colored: Cats who have the 'color' or 'glow' gene. Cats with this gene have glowing eyes and claws.
Colorless: A normal cat without any glowing parts. This considered a mutation in IncandescentClan and is much like being a kittypet, it often results in torment from the Coloured cats of the clan.
The Coloring: The ceremony where a kit of two moons is placed in the Color Pool. This ceremony is preformed by a medicine cat. When the kit is placed in the water the water will change to the color of the kit's glow. Kits will then open their eyes for the first time. If the water doesn't change at all then the kit is Colorless. A kit will also be assigned a mentor at this ceremony.
The Color Pool: A large pool in a cave filled with glow worms where the Coloring ceremony is preformed. Medicine cats come here to speak with the Glowing Ones, medicine cat apprentices receive their medicine cat names here and leaders receive their nine lives here.
The Glowing Ones: The dead cats of IncandescentClan (a.k.a StarClan)
The Bleeding: A particularly painful and fatal disease. Cats will start to bleed their color from all orifices, their body will start to rot from the inside out, sometimes death doesn't not come until the cat is completely hollow. This is caused by a mutation in the Color/Glow gene. It is not contagious, the Bleeding is sporadic, it it possible that the Bleeding is hereditary. Many cats die from the excruciating pain approximately 2-3 moons into the disease's duration.

The Coloring:
Med cat- Today, we are gathered to witness the Coloring of (insert kit/s names). We give thanks to the Glowing Ones for the wonderful life and opportunities that await (insert kit/s name), and for the wonderful choice that our wise ancestors have made in pairing (insert mother's name) and (insert father's name). [If one/both of the parents are dead the medicine cat will say 'dearly departed' before the cat's name]
(Kits are placed in the pool one by one)
Med cat- (insert kit name) has been gifted the color (insert color). (Insert future mentor's name) has been chosen to mentor this kit. [This section will be done separately for each kit)
(Final kit is removed from the pool)
Med cat- The Glowing Ones have spoken. Let it be heard by all.
End of ceremony.
New leader:
Med cat- (summon clan) The Glowing Ones have spoken to me! They have chosen a new cat to lead our clan! (insert cat's name) step forward.
Former leader's next of kin- I know (insert former leader's name) would have approved of this choice
Med cat- (insert cat's name) Come and receive your new name! By the power of the Glowing Ones I call you (insert new name). The Glowing Ones have spoken! Let it be heard by all!
The leader will then go to the Color Pool and visit the Glowing Ones, where they will receive their nine lives.
OR
If the former leader's next of kin knows that the former leader would not have approved of this choice then it is put to a vote. If the majority vote is yes then the ceremony continues. If the majority vote is no, the medicine cat can either name the deputy as leader or consult with the Glowing Ones.
If there are no next of kin for the former leader then the former leader's best friend is asked to step in instead. If there is no best friend the deputy must step in.
Apprentice:
Leader- (insert kit/s name/s) you have served your six moons in the nursery as required. Today you become an apprentice. (insert kit/s name/s) from now until your warrior ceremony you shall be known as (insert apprentice names). In accordance with your Coloring, (insert mentor/s name/s) will be your mentor.
The mentors will then touch noses with their apprentices.
OR
If the mentor chosen at a kit's Coloring dies before the kit is apprenticed then the leader must choose a new mentor before the ceremony starts.
Dying Apprentice:
Leader: I, (insert leader's name), call upon the Glowing Ones to look down on this apprentice. He/She has learned the Warrior code and given up his/her life in the service of his/her Clan. Let the Glowing Ones receive him/her as a Warrior. He/She will be known as (insert warrior name)
