The Crescent Moon
There is only one Clan left on the ever-changing fields of Everlyne. The other three have vanished slowly over time. CloveClan was said to have died off completely, while most believe RavenClan and StoneClan got into a terrible war and were both left to weak, and that StoneClan died, while RavenClan left Everlyne all together to find a new home. There are many rumors floating around, who knows which is true? CloveClan and StoneClan may still be alive, or RavenClan may have killed them all- they never were the kind type. Whatever happened to them, DesertClan is the only one left. They have more land now that the other Clans left, but for now choose to only take a little of the other Clans' former territory, just in case they return. The fields of Everlyne, which change dramatically according to the season, now belong to DesertClan. May they use it wisely.
Facts About Everylne & The Clans
Climate;
The climate in Everlyne changes heavily. In greenleaf, it is very hot with little rain, causing the river to dwindle. In leaffall, it is cool, usually with lightning storms, but often there is little rain despite the storms. In Leafbare, it is bitterly cold. Instead of rain, there is snow. Sometimes blizzards. The snow can get several tail-lengths deep in places. Newleaf is perhaps the easiest season for the Clan. It is usually still cold, but not freezing. About halfway through, it starts to get warm. Things grow. Prey comes out. It rains- a lot, which sometimes does cause floods.
Clan Names/Territories;
The four Clans were named based on the spot they live. RavenClan was named because where they live, there are a lot of black birds. No one is quite sure why, but it is what they mainly ate. CloveClan was named because most of their territory was a clover field. StoneClan was named for their stony environment. There's was between DesertClan and CloveClan's territory- and it shared traits from both. It was lush in grasses, but very rocky. DesertClan's territory is mostly barren. There isn't much grass. If it wasn't for there small patch of forest near the center of the territory, their land would be unlivable.
Prey;
DesertClan mostly depends on the small patch of forest in the center of their land. There they can get mice, sometimes rabbits, and birds. Their main prey is bird. Thanks to the river that runs through all of the territories, they can even catch fish in leafbare(if the water is not frozen) and newleaf.
RaveClan always had a lot of birds. They were the only Clan that lived almost completely in the forest, so that may be why.
CloveClan depended mostly on rabbits, vole, and mice.
StoneClan's prey was rabbit, ground-feeding birds such as thrush or doves, vole, and fish.
Considering the fact that three of the Clans have gone, if prey is really running short, the leader of DesertClan may sometimes allow patrols to go further than their territory- but only with permission.
The Crescent Moon Ceremonies;
Crescent moons were always important to all four Clans. Ceremonies(warrior, apprentice, deputy, renaming, elder, or leadership) would be done on nights when the moon is a perfect crescent, which came once a moon. The only ceremony that does not take place at this time is the medicine cat apprentice/medicine cat ceremony. That takes place under the full moon, at the Moonstone.
Everlyne;
Everlyne is just the area that all of the Clans live(or used to live). It's an area in Virginia, USA(which actually isn't real, so don't bother looking it up xD). It is a huge field in the middle of a large forest. The Clans divided the fields into four, but one Clan- RavenClan- hardly got any, so most of their territory was in the forest. Otherwise, the cats never go into the forest.
A Little More About DesertClan;
DesertClan is, of course, the Clan you will be roleplaying in, if you join. Their territory is the largest out of all of the other territories, because of their lack of prey. It is mostly barren and grassless, but there are some spots where grass grows. There is a small circle of trees near the center of the territory, which provides most of their prey. The river runs through the center of the territory, right through the little forest. The terrain has many small hills or dips in the earth, which lets water or snow build up. In leafbare, cats have gone missing from falling in them and freezing to death. They always dry up in greenleaf and leaffall.
Clan Rules
Clan rules are meant to be broken occasionally- or else where would the fun be? But don't go overboard. Remember: These are not my rules. They are just basic rules for any Clan.
1; The Warrior Code is law. If you don't know it, look it up.
2; No crossing the border without the leader's permission.
3; Deputies and Medicine Cats are to be named due to their abilities to do the job right. If they fail to do the job right, they will be demoted back to warrior.
4; Medicine Cats are disallowed to have kits or mates. Their duty is to healing the Clan.
My Rules
These you MUST follow, or be 1: eaten, 2: removed from roleplay, or 3: eaten then removed from roleplay. You get two strikes.
1; For mating, just go into the forest and 'fade to black' or whatever. No one really wants you to go into detail, trust me.
2; I'd prefer if you don't have any more than 4 kits per litter, though one or two more is okay.
3; PLEASE keep an even amount of genders. If you see there is one male and like, ten females, please make a male or two >.< I'd prefer if you AT LEAST make one tom per two she-cats.
4; If you do not: use correct grammar, spell things correct, capitalize what needs to be capped, ect, you will be removed! The titles states this is "LIT/SEMI-LIT". Mistakes are of course okay, but please try not constantly make them.
5; You must type two or more sentences per post.
6; You CANNOT be medicine cat unless you know the herbs or have a list of herbs so that you know what they do. It's annoying to have a medicine cat who don't know what they are doing.
7; If you have a prophecy idea, please PM me.
8; For god's sake, no power playing or being super awesomely powerful.
9; Be realistic...if your cat is in the forest(remember- there is only a small patch of forest), and another cat is say, all the way in camp, you cannot talk to them or instantly poof over there. You'd have to run back to camp to talk to them.
10; If you do not PM me with the name you want your apprentice to be, when it is time for them to become a warrior, I will name them myself. Please do not complain. (Exp: If you have an apprentice named Rockpaw, and you tell me you want their warrior name to be Rockwater, I'll name them that. If not, I'll probably name them something else- like Rockscar or Rockfur, idk, depends on the cat.)
11; I have the right to add, remove, or edit any rules, and also decline anyone from joining this roleplay.
12; Please keep your forms updated, so that if someone wants to see your cat, you can show them updated information rather than info from when you first joined.
