a long time ago... there were several clans of cats that ruled a forest. Sometimes they conflicted, sometimes they made peace, but they always existed together. Their world has since changed. For a while, there were three clans, and then the forest began to disappear. The clans could no longer hold their domain. Eventually, they all mutually agreed to move from their sacred forest home on a blind trip, over the mountains, and eventually to a lake. There were four clans once more, living in relative peace, but once again that was changing.

deep within the mountains... beyond where most cats had ever traveled, another set of clans lived. Their numbers were fewer, but they were generally of a larger size, stronger. The two clans were constantly battling, and one day a single apprentice from one of the clans begged if the four lake clans could help. Representatives from each clan went, but it only caused more warring. It was a stalemate, with cats dying. When the representatives attempted to return to their clans, they were barred access, and the single apprentice who had retrieved them, now a warrior, was not able to change the mind of either of the clan leaders. For their safety, the group ventured further away from the lake, beyond another mountain, and into their own, uninhabited valley.

the group of clan representatives... decided to become their own clan, knowing that if they ever tried to go back, it was likely that the two warring clans would kill them along their way. They appointed the single warrior who had led them their new leader, Fawnstar, and looked towards StarClan for guidance. Some of their ancestors had already disowned them, but others were more understanding. Within time, the stars were once more opened up to them, and they became ValeClan.

plot;; ValeClan has now been thriving for four generations, and it appears as though the clan will continue to do so. Their ancestors have been agreeable, and recently respected, and often visited by the Medicine cat. All appears as though it is going well... Until the remnants of one of the two warring clans is discovered. They now form a rogue group, making its way into the mountains...

prophecy;; StarClan has recently delivered a new prophecy to the Medicine cat that has the majority of the clan worried.

Within the past are wretched heroes,
Who fought villainously with hard tooth and sharp claw.
Now, the Hawk and Crow shall battle,
Night will rise, and the Feather shall fall,
Three trusted will try to destroy, three trusted will try to protect,
And all will fall on the fate of a rogue.

|| T h e . R u l e s

1 This is that one rule that is always stated that i feel should never have to be stated. Follow all chicken smoothie rules as lined out by Tess and the other administrators. They can ban you from the site, i can only ban you from this RP.
2 No powerplaying or godmodding. It is unrealistic for one to control someone else's character, or the entire clan...
3 No perfect characters. You can call the, whatever you want but in the end, just don't make superman your cat.
4 You can use little tiny baby swears, like damn, but all other swears must be from the book. It just makes more sense in the RP that way anyway.
5 Reservations for specific roles, such as leader, med. cat, etc. will be held for a duration of 24 hours ONLY. After that, you are out of luck.
5 No, this RP is not listed under the literate section, but I still expect more than three words a post, and would prefer three well put together sentences. Even with writer's block that should be attainable.
6 Drama is allowed, expected and encouraged, as long as it is only in character. Otherwise, be prepared to face the wrath of angry me. Also, do not cause any major events, such as natural disasters or large animal attacks, without my permission kthx.
7 All forms must be posted in the discussion form, no exceptions.
8 Finally, please have fun! Oh and don't take a prefix that someone already has

The Discussion Thread

territory they live in a valley, surrounded by several mountains. Their territory is marked by a sheer cliff to the north, two streams to the east and west that cut in to a center meadow, where they eventually join into a larger river. The point where the two streams meet is the southern tip of the territory. The majority of the land is a mixed forest, with more pine trees towards the northern side and deciduous trees growing plenty towards the bottom. The last portion of the southern side is a large meadow, bordered by sand.
camp Their camp is located at the very back of the territory, at the bottom center of the giant cliff. There is a dried ravine there, that slowly slopes up towards the south, but is sheer towards the east, west, and north. The warriors den is a hole made the roots of a fallen tree and the fallen tree itself. The nursery is just below that, in a smaller hole guarded by a thicket. Across the way is the apprentices den, outlined by a single large rock and another small cave in the ravine side. The leaders den is in cliff itself, with a couple ledges leading up to it. Right above it, another large ledge serves as the High Cliff, where announcements are given. In the base of the cliff is the med. cat den, with ivy growing over the mouth of it, and a small pool of water fed by an underground stream at its center.

territory they live in the southern edge of the valley, still well contained by the mountains. The land there is not as fertile as the northern half, with less trees and more barren, rocky lands. However, prey is still plentiful enough, and it is much easier to spot incoming predators, should there be any. Their territory is rather undefined, with only their camp being specifically defined, and even that is considered temporary. They like to think of the world as their territory.
camp their camp is located on the edge of the southern most mountain, where its barren. A large group of boulders allow for a small area within to be sheltered from high winds and many predators, and very few ways in make it easy to defend. The rogue band sleeps all together as one unit, except in the case if there are ever any kits, where a small, hidden den is used to care for them. Another smaller cave is used to store herbs and other things of medicinal value.
