RULES
-all of tess's rules apply
-Be nice and don't leave any cat out
-Nothing to detailed when hunting or mating, fade if needed
-Try to avoid being your own cats mate or crush
-No starting with god or perfect cats
-You can have as many character, as long as you can handle them
-Don't up and quit without posting something
-if you haven't been on for more than two weeks without saying something your cats will be put up as open.
-4 days = 1 moon

TERRITORY
the territory is boarded by a thunder path on one side and a river on the other. across the river is a neighboring clan forest clan and across the thunderpath on the other side is otter clan and at the other end of the forest lies the fourth clan wolf clan
the camp is in the middle of the territory set high in some rocks in the middle of a Forest. The dens are set in the Rock all around the camp. The training area is a mossy hollow at the base of the rocks. the gathering happens every four moons at four rocks and the medicine cats meet at the Moonpool

The Warrior Code
___________________________________________________________________________________
1. Defend your clan, even at the cost of your life. You may have friendships with cats from other clans, but your loyalty must remain with your clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt, or trespass in other clans territory.
3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted and fed the elders.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Thank StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat can not become deputy without having at least mentored one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become the clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death of retirement of a deputy, a new deputy must be chosen.
10. A gathering of the clan is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different clan.
13. The word of the clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

Herbs
___________________________________________________________________________________
Alfalfa
Used to prevent tooth decay.
Aloe Vera
Use the gel inside of leaves to cure skin problems or burns.
Ash (Tree)
New shoots are to be eaten, and chewed and applied to the bit of an Adder or Viper to stave off the effects of its poisoned bite.
Keys (seeds) of the Ash tree may also be consumed to fight the pain caused by a stitch in the side.
Borage
Leaves and Roots should be consumed to stave off fevers. Seeds and leaves should be consumed by the nursing Queen to increase available milk.
Borage should never be used dried, only green.
Bramble Twigs
Chew this to a fine syrup. It helps to sleep.
Burdock
Leaves may be chewed and applied to wounds that are clear of infection to speed healing.
Roots may be chewed and applied to a wound to draw infection from it.
Catmint
Leaves and Flowers can be used to relive congestion and coughs.
Celandine
Used to strengthen weak eyes.
Chamomile
Leaves and Flowers may be consumed to sooth a cat and add to their physical strength.
Cobwebs
Gathered and pressed into wounds to stop bleeding. Generally only used with wounds that risk bleeding heavily as they can cause increased risk of infection.
Comfrey
Used when healing broken bones
Deathberries
Berries, or any other part of the plant, when consumed will kill the cat who swallows if they are not given immediate help, and even then they may not always be saved. Roots & leaves may be chewed together and applied to sore places, but must NEVER be applied to open wounds.
This is a poison in addition to a healing plant.
Echinacea
Used to ease infection.
Feverfew
Leaves can be used to reduce fever, in addition to being consumed to aid against colds and stomach ailments.
Honey
Used to sooth the throat. Particularly good for smoke inhalation.
Juniper
Berries ease the stomach and can serve as a counter poison. Leaves are used to ease coughs and other respiratory problems.
Lavender
Leaves & flowers are particularly good when eaten for easing pains in head and throat.
Inhaling the scent of fresh flowers can also calm the nerves.
Marigold
Leaves and Flowers should be consumed to relieve chills.
Leaves and Petals can be chewed and placed on wounds to prevent infection.
Mouse Bile
Bile from the liver of the common mouse may be harvested and used to kill stubborn fleas and ticks.
Poppy
Seeds can be consumed to remove pain and aid is sleep.
Flower heads should be consumed together to relive continuous coughs.
Petals and Leaves should be chewed to aid in sleep and improve resting.
Tansy
Leaves, flowers, and Stems should be eaten together to remove worms.
Leaves may be chewed to relive joint aches.
Flowers should be consumed to remove coughs.
Pregnant Queens should NEVER be given Tansy, for it causes miscarriages.
Thyme
Should be consumed to calm the anxious cat, or to aid in bringing restful sleep.
Water Mint
Used to help cure bellyaches.
Willow Tree
Water from beneath the bark of the flowering willow may be dripped into the eyes to help clear blurriness of vision. It may also be applied to dry patches of skin to sooth itches.
Small amounts of Willow Bark may be consumed to ease pain, act against inflammation, and to ease diarrhea or fevers.
Yarrow
To make a cat vomit up poisons.

Night-claw
Night-claw was annoyed at Iron-paw again. The she-cat had managed to scare herself my swiping her paw in the air. really her name should have been Scaredy-paw instead of Iron-paw that silly she-cat fancy scaring yourself with your own paw. Night-claw thought.give me someone who's brave like silver-kit or someone who's stubborn like Ebony-kit anyday over Iron-paw

Silver-kit woke up and pounced on Ebony-kit "come on Ebony lets go and play" she cried "Go back to sleep Silver" Ebony-kit replied "I'm tired" "fine" Silver-kit sulked
Eagle-star
Eagle-star paused outside the nursery and listened to Silver-kit complaining. my little daredevil he thought one day you will be a fearsome warrior who won't take no for an answer. you can't now as he listened to the sounds of Silver-kit trying to convince Ebony-kit to go and play God luck with that Silver. Ebony is really stubborn and will more often than not get her own way in ythe future. I wonder who will win this argument?

eaglestar padded up to nightclaw
eaglestar: "how is ironpaw doing?"
Nightclaw: "not very well she is scared of everything. she managed to scare herself with her paw when she swiped the air!"
eaglestar: "oh"
Nightclaw: "her fears worry me to be honest. she can't do anything except look for herbs without scaring herself."
Eaglestar: "wait look for herbs? thats perfect we could use a medicine cat apprentice."
Nightclaw: "true. we could also use a deputy and a medicine cat. how are you supposed to make her a medicine cat apprentice when we don't have a medicine cat?"

ironpaw was crying in the apprentice's den. ashkit walked past and peaked in.
ashkit: "what's wrong Ironpaw?"
Ironpaw: "I'm a failure, a wimp, a scaredy cat! I know the nickname cats have given me! scaredypaw!" she spat the last words at ashkit
ashkit: "oh. i don't know what to say ironpaw but if it makes you feel better i never called you scaredypaw."
Ironpaw: "it's not you it's nightclaw! he thinks i'm useless. scared of everything like a newborn kit!" "I hate him!"she yowled.
ashkit: "it can't be as bad as it seems things like this never are"
Ironpaw: " thanks for the optimism but i'd rather be left alone"
Ashkit: "ok" he slips quietly out to the sound of ironpaw crying.

silverkit had finally won the argument with ebonykit about going to play
Ebonykit: "ok then what should we play"
Silverkit: "look there's ashkit lets go hunt him"
Ebonykit: "ok sounds fun"
the two crouch down and start to creep up on the unsuspecting ashkit.
snowpelt padded out the nursery and sat down next to askkit.
snowpelt: "Silverkit, Ebonykit don't try to hunt your brother he's not pray!"
silverkit and ebonykit: "but we're only playing"
Snowpelt: "it's not playing when one cat doesn't know about the game. got that silverkit?" silverkit jumped
Silverkit: "yes snowpelt"
snowpelt: "what's wrong ashkit?"
ashkit: "how did you know what silverkit and ebonykit were up to?"
snowpelt: "that's easy i heard them talking when i was in the nursery. now tell me whats wrong?"
ashkit: "nothing just Ironpaw is upset that nightclaw is disappointed in her."
snowpelt: "is she now well i will talk to eaglestar about it. ok? besides it's not your place to go worrying about evryother cats problems, that's eaglestars job."
ashkit: "ok snowpelt. i feel alot better now."

snowpelt padded off to fine eaglestar she eventually found him looking out at the training hollow.
Eaglestar: "what brings you here snowpelt?"
Snowpelt: "i have come to ask what's on your mind"
Eaglestar: "when i was an apprentice this hollow was full of other apprentices and mentors all training trying to become the best they could be."
Snowpelt: "the famine that struck the clan was not your fault nor was the fact all the clans were affected. there was nothing you could do."
Eaglestar: "i know, but it doesn't stop me feeling bad about it,"
Snowpelt: "but the birth of silverkit, ebonykit and ashkit lifted the spirits of those who survived the famine."
Eaglestar: "i know. new life always brings hope with it. speaking of the kits i think they are arguing again."
Snowpelt: "i'll go sort it."
she got up and walked back to the nursery to see what the problem was.
