"This is MountainClan territory you filthy-" Then the big black tabby sees that you are not a clan cat. "Oh." He steps back, letting you get up. "My apologies.
Now that your eyes had adjusted you can see clearly. In front of you stands a giant black tabby tom with silver eyes and long whiskers. You don't know what he is going to do, that makes you uncomfortable.
"My name is Plaguestar, leader of CavernClan," he introduces himself. "What do they call you?"
You answer him.
"Nice name. Let me take you to our camp. I can't have you being snatched by our neighbouring clans." He trots ahead, almost fading into the darkness of the dimly lit forest. "Follow me." He leads you through the forest, when you emerge on the other side you realise that its late morning. Plaugestar crosses over the stepping stones in a deep, wide river and leads you onto a meadow. The meadow isn't very big, but it's bursting with life. Once the meadow has been crossed there is a large dark tunnel which rests at the foot of the mountain that looms over head. Plaguestar walks into the tunnel which is lit by strange glowing stones. After a while you enter into a huge cavern. "Welcome to CavernClan."
TERRITORY
The Cavern (camp)
Is the size of a football field with smaller caverns carved out of the walls where the dens are. The floor is mostly sandy with some bits of grass that grow near the edge of the stream. The entrance is beside a large watefall which makes the stream that runs along the left side of the cavern. In the middle is the fresh kill pile, the Rocks which is several flat-topped river stones which receives sun in the middle of the day and star light at night. There are plenty of stalagmites for the cats to play and hide in.
The Meadow
A smallish meadow which fills with beautiful wild flowers in summer and spring. It is teeming with life such as rabbits, shrews, voles, mice and much much more! It is the main hunting hunting ground. CavernClan cats are fast and agile and used to being out in the open as their camp (the cavern) is very spacious and open.
The River
The medicine cats will find most of their herbs here! The river contains many species of fish and is a good hunting place. Most of the herbs a medicine cat requires grow alongside the river due the rich silt it brings down from the mountain. The river is very deep and fast moving which is why the cats have to make their way across on boulders and stepping stones which break up the river in several places.
The Forest
The forest is dimly lit all year round because of its thick canopy. Its where apprentices are often trained for night hunting and fighting.. Due to the mossy ground it hard to hunt and track in and is therefore not used. CavernClan uses it as a hunting ground, but mostly during leafbare as little snow reaches the ground. Don't let its dark appearance fool you, it is one of the best places in the territory.
