This Clan has a history, much like any other Clan.
Two best friends, Shadow and Mist, were loners for as long as they could remember. Sometimes they stayed among the city streets, and sometimes hunted along the forest. But - you needed to be careful in the forest, for there were rumors of strong groups of cats who could kill you as soon as look at you. Shadow and Mist decideded to examine these rumors for themselves, and journeyed deep into the 'forbidden' forest.
Here they found the cats, but they were not the bloodthirsty beasts in the tales of gossip, but rather hard working, loyal cats who lived by a strong code. Shadow and Mist were very interested in this way of life, and though the Clans would not let them join, they learned as much as they could at set off on their own, to build a family and a Clan.
When they could go no farther, Mist spotted a rainforest just down in the next valley, big enough to hold ten Clans, let alone their one. Perhaps rainforest is too vast a word - it does rain often here, but seasons come and go just as any other part of the world, and there is more to their new territory than just the vast forest.
Both cats settled down here, and Shadow took Mist as his mate. They had five kits together, Gorse, a strong tabby tom, Fern, a gentle golden she-cat, Swallow, an outspoken, jet black she-cat, and two twin brothers, Yarrow and Ash, who had identical gray pelts. As word spread, more cats, interested in joining a strong group, came into the area, seeking answers. Mist and Shadow, as well as their five kits, who knew the Warrior Code like the back of their paw, taught these cats their way of life, just as the four Clans had taught them so long ago. Some stayed, and some left.
From there, Shadowstar took up the position as leader, and appointed a new member, Dapplepelt as his deputy.
Many, many moons have passed since RainClan's small beginnings, and troubles, victories, and sorrows have come and gone.
And what of you? Will you stay and be a part of our Clan, or do you wish to continue life in solitude?
~
We are a Clan of swift hunters, fierce fighters, and strong swimmers. We are like the rain we are named for - gentle and swift, harsh and fierce.
All who come to us are welcome, your history is a past known only to you, or those with whom you share it. We are loyal to our own, but will help most any cat in need.
This offer of friendship will not last forever, there may be a time upon which strangers become unwelcome and pasts are not so secret.

A rainforest type environment; it rains often, and flowers, trees, and plants are plentiful here. The camp is located in a mossy hollow, with a small stream and waterfall running to just to one side.
The territory extends beyond the forest, and there you can find a windswept moor, rushing river, high pines, a even a few caves.
Rainforest Valley~
The rainforest is found in a valley, just as Shadowstar and Mistfeather found it so many moons ago. A river runs right down the center of it, just one of the many bodies of water. Fish, small birds, frogs and lizards are abundant here, as well as the occasional squirrel. Tigers also hunt here, so watch out!
Moor~
A windy, grassy place. Here the main prey is rabbits, though occasionally a mouse or bird can be found as well. Some foxes and snakes can be found in this place, so keep an eye out for predator as well as prey. Geese can be found here.
Bog~
Water is common of course in this place, but it has algae and other plants growing on it so it's not the best to drink. Many frogs and lizards make there homes here, but snakes do as well, so be careful! Twolegs ocassionly come here, as well as dogs and other animals, watch out for those too. This is also a good fishing spot.
River~
A quiet, shady area, the river is a good place to catch fish and other water-dwelling creatures. Water fowl are a common sight in the still pools off to the sides, but you need at least two cats to catch one. Not the best place for swimming, as a strong current could sweep away even the strongest cat.
Pine forest~
Bears, squirrels, wolves, and foxes can be found among these tall trees, as well as birds. A long forggoton path was once made by Twolegs here, but it is now overgrown and there is no danger of seeing one of their monsters. This is a common place to relax and hunt
Caves~
One of the easiest places to catch bats, the caves are often silent save for the sound of shifting bats or the burble of water deep in its workings. Do not go in far enough that you can no longer see the light of the entrance, for if you get lost you may never see its light again. Always have at least one cat with you when travelling here.
Lake~
This is one of the best spots to fish and swim- but not both at the same time! You'll scare away the fish and go home with nothing, so make sure you've already decided your action once you arrive. The lake is small enough not to attract deadly crocodiles, but wolves, deer, bears, and other animals come to drink here, so stay on guard. Never go too far away from shore if you are swimming, though there are no crocs, any other river monster could lurk in its shadowy depths.
Training Area~
With a small stream, many boulders, trees and a small clearing, what more could an apprentice ask for in which to train? Swimming is taught in the shallows of the stream, climbing in the trees, and fighting among the boulders and in the clearing.
River's Peace~
Here is where the leaders and medicine cats will go to receive messages, prophecy’s, and to speak with StarClan.

Leader's Den:
In greenleaf, lichen will drape the enterace, all but hiding any cat sheltering inside, and providing insulation from cold.
Medicine Cat Den:
Another large tree finds itself as the medicine cat den. The large system of above-ground roots inside the den allow for easy herb storage, and the large root to the right provides an easy space for sick cat's nest. The medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice's nests are found to the left, behind the herb stock.
Nursery:
A mossy hollow underneath a fallen tree, the nursery is one of the biggest dens, aside from the warrior's. Outside it looks smaller, but the hollow extends deep in the rock, allowing for shelter against the elements.
Warrior's Den:
A large fallen tree is the warrior's den. It has ample space inside and is not to a point of dangerous rot, allowing for countless moons use. Shaded in greenleaf and warm in leafbare, it's one of the most comfortable dens in camp.
Apprentice's Den:
A bit further away from the other dens, the apprentice's den is found in a large, hollowed boulder, making it an ideal place to shelter from bad weather, or even extreme hot or cool temps.
Elder's Den:
A large hollow in the tree, there is an opening in the back that leads to a large rock on which the elder's may sun themselves. On windly or cold days, the opening can be covered with thick moss that grows on the outside of the tree. Very shady and cool in greenleaf and quite cozy in leafbare.
Fresh Kill Pile:
Found in a sandy hollow just inside camp, the fresh kill pile is stored just outside the hole in good weather, but in times of rain, snow, or other forms of weather, it gets stored in the hole, which is then covered with bark and bracken.
Waterfall:
This is where the leader makes announcements, cats gather around the base on the moss-covered rocks and the leader sits or stands on the top, overlooking those below.

Squirrels- Uncommon/Common prey. A small fluffy creatues, colors vary between white, gray and red. Mostly stay in treetops, but some can be found eating nuts on the ground. Easy to catch. Found mostly in the pine forest, or edges of the rainforest. Tastes for these creatures vary, but in leafbare, fresh-kill is fresh-kill.
Small birds(sparrows, starlings, etc)- Common prey. Found in the trees and on the ground, but sometimes difficult to catch, due to their flightiness. Found most anywhere.
Lizards- Uncommon prey, while found most anywhere, can be hard to catch and tastes vary from cat to catch. Vary in size, colouring, and shape.
Mice- Common prey. A small, gray creature that is always found on the ground, or lured out of its nest in the ground. Easy to catch, and found most anywhere.
Fish- Very common prey. Vastly different in size and color, and can be easy or difficult to catch depending on your skills. Found in the stream near camp or the river.
Hares- Uncommon prey. Found mostly on the moor, these can be hard to catch. Fast, lithe cats find it easy to hunt them, while slower cats prefer fish, mice, etc. Be careful - if cornered, these animals can break a cat's spine, nose, leg, or claw an eye or face.
Bats- Rare prey. They are only found in the caves on the other side of the moor, and it is tiresome to make a long journey just to catch a mouse-sized prey. Very abundant where they are found, and quite easy to catch as they travel in such large groups.
Geese- Uncommon prey. 2 or more cats are required to kill one, and they are mostly found in the meadow, lake, or occasionally the moor. A large, white feathered or black and gray feathered bird, they can be dangerous when around their young. Goslings are never eaten unless necessary.

Poison dart frogs - A small, brightly coloured amphibian. Do not attempt to eat one, they are very poisonous and even a bite could kill you. They do not attack cats, but kits or young apprentices may think they are edible.
Snakes- Usually hostile to cats, these long, thin replies can vary in size and shape. Some are venomous and could kill you with a bite, while others are not and whose bits are simply painful. Attacks sometimes fatal. Do not engage unless with 2 or more warriors.
Tigers- Big orange striped felines. They are generally neutral towards cats and don't seek out fights. Tigers have large jaws, fangs, and claws, and attacks, if they happen, are usually fatal. Can be driven away, very difficult to kill. Do not engage unless absolutly necessary.
Wolves- Size varies, but most are medium-sized canines, much like dogs. A very secretive animal, they can be quite shy and often avoid cats. Live and packs and are very dangerous. Could easily kill a cat, whatever their fighting skills.
Large birds of prey- Sometimes considered prey, but make sure you have a few warriors with you when hunting. They can easily carry off small cats and kits, and have razor sharp talons.
Crocodiles- Attacks always fatal. Large jaws lined with sharp teeth on both top and bottom are capable of crushing a cats bones. Not very fast, and very bulky and found in large bodies of water. Avoid at all costs.
Foxes- Smaller than wolves, they are tall, lean canines. Not much bigger than a full grown cat, and can be brought down with 2-3 warriors, in the event it is necessary. Still able to kill a cat, despite their small size.
Bears- Easily able to kill a cat. They are large, bulky creatures than mainly stay in the pine forest and edges of the moor, but sometimes wander. Size and color may vary, and always avoid a mother bear with cubs.
Dogs- Usually owned by Twolegs, but some are wild. These two vary in sizes, shapes, and colors, and can be found all over. Some can kill a cat, but are easily driven off with 2 or more cats.

Leafbare {}
- Prey and herbs are scarce, and any kits born at this time are weak, and often sick. Young kits, weak cats and elders often come down with whitecough and then its deadly twin, greencough. Very cold and snowy, all standing water freezes.
Newleaf {}
- Prey begins to come back as do the growth of herbs, trees, and other plants. Water unfreezes, cats grow stronger, and flowers bloom. The forest begins to live again as warmer weather returns. Rainfall is abundant as well.
Greenleaf {x}
- Known as 'summer' to Twolegs, this is the height of the year. Prey is abundant, as well as herbs, and the temperatures are quite warm. Careful though - this season can also bring drought. Thunderstorms are common.
Leafall {}
- Prey begins to die, fly away to warm temps, or prepare for their long winter's rest. Herbs wither away, and the forest begins to die and go into hibernation. The trees drop their leaves and snow may start to fall, bringing leafbare and sickness. Weather can be cool or warm, depending on the time of leafall.
