Welcome, young or old, to our beloved home. We are MapleClan. If you wish to join us, you must know that we train our warriors to survive the harsh leaf-bares here. The harsh conditions have already driven our former border clan, Cloudclan, to a new territory. Though I must say, Dawnstar made a wise choice. As you may, or may not know, we were originally a group of loners led by Kestrelstar. When he came here, he renamed the clan after the beautiful red maples that surround our territory. That is how we got our name. I won't tell you too much, that is for the elder's to tell you once you enter our camp. Come.



MapleClan's territory is very vast, as we gained the expanse of meadow that Cloudclan abandoned. With so much territory, we have been trained to hunt a large variety of prey including fish, rabbits, and small woodland creatures.

The MoonTree:

The MoonTree is a very sacred place where a select few MapleClan cats go every half moon to communicate with Starclan.

The Stream:

The Stream is a place to fish for cats of the clan.

The Meadow:

The Meadow provides prey(rabbits), but also brings the danger of dogs in green-leaf.

The Forest:

The Forest is the source of the majority of MapleClan's prey as well as the place of their camp.




Gatherings
Instead of gatherings, the clan gets together at the meadow every full moon and has a day of fun. Preparations are made, including making sure the area is safe, hunting, and checking who will be attending.
During the half-moon, the medicine cat and one select apprentice will journey to the MoonTree. This is an experience for the apprentice, and business for the medicine cat.
Cloudclan
Cloudclan was once a friendly clan that shared a border with MapleClan. They got along well until leaf-bare. Many cats died, and the clans became hostile. Dawnstar decided that Cloudclan would find new territory and they left. MapleClan took the meadow, and have trained for leaf-bare conditions since.

Personality: She is aggressive and smart but she will try and attack her clanmates if they underestimate her or tease her.
History: Her mom, Firestrike is her only kin alive as of now. Her father, Nutclaw, died from a monster and her littermates died when they were born.

Personality: She really doen't like arguments, but she is one of the most considerate type of warrior to be found. Her strengths include being even-tempered, good at focusing her attention on others and having strong opinions without being too agressive. Weaknesses include sometimes appearing to be a pushover, not expressing herself enough and being shy.
History: She was brought into the world with a sister. Her sister being a dark grey she-cat, with longer fur. Her sister was the complete opposite of her and always wandered about the camp. There was a day where she followed her sister out of the camp when they were kits and wandered into one of the old abandoned two-leg homes. As they were playing, there was an accident. One of the walls began collapsing and her sister was caught in the center. She lost her sister and never once wandered out of the camp until she became an apprentice.

While training as an apprentice, she still had a fear of two-leg nests and never wanted to go near the one in the training hollow. That made it hard for her to train. Until she was finally able to get past her fears of two-leg nest, she wasn't able to gain her full potential.

Finally the day came when she was named a warrior. The same day she was able to explore the two-leg next and get over her fear.

Skills: Rather skilled in hunting, she is better suited to hunting birds. Her strong legs allowing her to jump quite easily and high. Struggled with fighting, but is quite good at devising a plan of action quickly to better suit her inability to fight well.

Personality: Strong-willed and determined, he strives to make a difference in clan life. A skilled fighter, his hunting needs a lot of work. He is very loyal and loves to have some fun. He is young, what do you expect.

History: Being born small he didn't have very many thinking he could make it as an apprentice. The previous Medicine cat believed he would not make it at all. Having been the only one in the litter that had survived birthing. It was a miracle that he even survived. More so, he was grateful for the medicine cat trying his best and not letting him die. So he thought he would want to become a Medicine Cat Apprentice. He was always interested in that.

He promised that he was going to try his best.

Skills: Far too small to do any actual good when fighting, he had trouble as a regular apprentice. However, he was very good a memorizing the herbs and what was needed for what kind of wound.

Personality: Russetfur is very strong-willed. He won't give up until he gets what he wants and he won't hesitate to fight for it. This makes him very stubborn, and causes quite a lot of arguments. He's witty and quick with words, so he probably could be described as a little sarcastic.
He's not afraid to voice his opinion and likes to make himself heard, so he's not exactly the quietest cat around. Some could call him bossy, but he just likes to make sure everything gets done quick, but to high standards. He does have a kinder side, however. He has a soft spot for kits and often plays with them. However, he believes that discipline is necessary and isn't afraid to raise his voice at misbehaving kits or apprentices. He's rather strict with apprentices, too as he believes that they need to be made to respect the warriors and elders of the Clan, but sometimes he can get a little carried away and can be a little harsh or too rough with apprentices, however he would never intentionally harm an apprentice.
He's not the type of cat to sit back and watch everyone else make decisions. He likes to be part of the Clan and he likes to help decide what's best. He's very questioning, so he'll probably push limits and question some decisions made by the leader if he thinks it's the wrong choice, but it's all good-natured and he only does it for the benefit of the Clan. Yes, Russetfur is a very loyal cat. He always puts the Clan first and doesn't do anything unless he thinks it will benefit the Clan. He rarely lounges around resting, if he's quiet, then he's probably thinking about how the Clan could be improved of some sort.
Russetfur also wouldn't hesitate to attack an intruder, unless they seemed very young. He wouldn't bother to ask what they were doing in Clan territory, even if it was a neighbouring Clan's apprentice, he would attack and chance the fur ball away.
History: Russetfur was born as a rogue. His father was Flamepelt, and his mother Honeyfur. He was born in leaf-bare, with two sisters, but they didn't survive because of the harsh conditions. In fact, Russetfur was very lucky to have survived. He grew up practically alone, because his father would go out and hunt all day while his mother stayed by the entrance to the den to guard it. Russetfur was made to stay right at the back of the den, so that he was safe.
When he was old enough, his father took him out in to the forest and began to teach him how to fight and hunt. He loved training and learned very quickly. He had to. His father was quite strict, and very harsh with discipline. But, Russetfur was quite a defiant kit, and often got in to trouble. That's probably why he's so harsh on apprentices now, to make sure they don't get in to trouble.
When he was 8 moons old, his father and mother were travelling with him and they accidentally passed through Clan territories. His mother and father were both killed, but thankfully, they decided to take in Russetfur and name him an apprentice of the Clan. He was already quite advanced, as he was a quick learner and had already started to train, so it didn't take long for him to become a warrior- he was only 12 moons.
He wanted to be deputy, and set his mind on helping the Clan because he didn't want to be seen as 'the rogue's kit' anymore. He became a respected warrior, and worked his way up. He because fierce in battle and actually forgot his past, no one, not even himself, spoke of his history of being a rogue and he doesn't talk, or even think about his parents anymore.
Skills: Average hunter. Very skilled fighter.

Personality: Dovepelt is a very sweet cat. She cares deeply about everyone, but wouldn't risk her life for an intruder, however she would put the well being of others before herself and help an injured or sick cat even if they weren't in her Clan, so long as she wasn't breaking the code.
Dovepelt absolutely adores kits. She's always dreamed of having her own. She often spends time playing with young kits and loves to have fun playing with the little fur balls. Dovepelt could be described as a softie, but she's a fierce fighter and would give her life for the Clan.
Dovepelt doesn't like to get involved in anyone else's business and often keeps her opinion to herself, but if she thinks something is wrong or important, then she won't hesitate to say. She only voice's herself when absolutely necessary, so those who only just meet her would probably describe her as shy, however she is quite a social cat and likes to just talk about nonsense and sometimes have a little joke.
History: Dovepelt was born in to the Clan, to Greydust and Robinwing, so her history is pretty basic. She grew up in the Clan so has lived with the code and the Clan her whole life.
She had two sisters, Lillykit and Petalkit and a brother, Eaglekit, but a badger attack on the camp led to her siblings being killed and her being severely injured. She was only two moons at the time, so she was still young and small and had to stay in the medicine cat's den for a while in order to recover. She barely made it, but made a full recovery and was ready to start apprentice training at 8 moons old, so she started her training a little late.
She was a good apprentice. She did everything she was told to do and trained hard. She was a little slow at picking up battle skills, but was a very good hunter. Despite her being late in becoming an apprentice, and slow learning when it came to fighting, she became a strong and agile warrior.
Not long after her ceremony, there was a battle that caused the death of both of her parents. She mourned for a while, but got over it.
Skills: She is a good fighter, but is one of the better hunters in the Clan.
