"Life is not fair at all." Sandstrike mumbled to herself. "Absolutely no fair." Sandstrike sighed and laid down. "All my life I hunt the mice in the house, but as soon as I lay a claw on that white and tan bugger 'that it! that cat goes!' Ingrates!" She said sticking out her tongue. "If it wasn't for me..." Her voice trailed off. Something was watching her.

Bluestar gently moved the branch aside. The tabby striped cat was talking to herself. "Ingrates!" She seemed to be saying. From what Bluestar gathered, this was a kittypet. "Hem" Bluestar sniffed. "Maybe she'll make a good kitsitter for Sweetkit." The kittypet stiffen as if she could feel Bluestars gaze. "Not a total half-wit are you" Bluestar called.

'Not a total half-wit are you" The voice was like thunder in the dark. "HALF-WIT?!" Saindstrike leaped up and whirled around. "Rather! I'll let you know..." Standing before her was the bluest she-cat she ever saw expect for the fire red mark on her paw."W-w-who are you?"

"I am Bluefire, leader of Deepclan." Bluestar snorts "so far its a clan of two. But, if you where to join, I can promise you, though it will be hard, it will be the best decision of your life.

"Whats a clan?" Sandstrike asked. "Why would I want to join? Why is your name Bluefire?" For some reason this cat interested her. It was plain this was a cat to respect and obey. But Sandstirke was always a cat to ask why than accept. She had to know.
