Hello all Kelpie Members!
welcome to the official Bayou Kelpies role play!

Here, you will be able to play out the life of your Kelpie as he/she acts around its herd and what it does.
YOU MUST HAVE A KELPIE TO ROLE PLAY.

There is only one Main herd in the Bayou kelpie lands- but there are miniature bands that form when colts leave or get banished.
But mostly the family stays together ^^

.Setting.
The setting is swampy, marshy and dark.
Lots of beautiful spanish moss trees and fresh water lakes.
The only true sound you can hear is the buzzing of Dragon flies and the chirping of crickets
It is a very beautiful and dark place.
Safe, and secretive.

Kelpies Personality: Thayer is the strong and confident type. There is no situation that he thinks he can't handle. You'll often find him faunting himself about the bayous in search of a mare to schmooze. He can be a bit of a bro every now and then jostling around with his fellow stallions but he does prefer to spend his time with the fairer gender. Thayer really isn't all that complex of a fellow. With him what you see is what you get. He may not be the brightest, but he is certainly the most charming and out going. The rest you'll descover as he goes along

Thayer-
Thayer picked his way over the wet marshes, his hooves making a squelching noise as he went. Reaching a small gathering of bullrush along side a small pond he cranes his neck down to slosh some warm water into his mouth. He looked back up and flicked his long forelock out of his cedar green eyes and gazed across the hazy marsh land. This place was all he'd ever known but it was the best home he could ask for. Abundent in everything he could ever want or need. He flicked his tail absent mindedly turning and heading away from the small pond.

Kyla
Kyla stood silently as she kept an eye on the herd.
She was exhausted.

She finallly decided that she would run down the pond and Leave Ravenna to watch the herd.
She nickered softly to her, trying to catch her attention.

Ravenna Perked her ears and lifted her head from grazing.
"Watch them a bit?"

She asked desperately
"I need to unwind."

Ravenna smiled and nodded, finishing her chewing of the moss she had in her mouth

Kyla smiled off and trotted off to the pond that was only a few meters away.
She reached the pond with a happy look on her face.

She drank some water with a grin, but snapped to attention when a she heard a sound.
She looked around anxiously, then seeing the large chestnut stallion heading away.

She smiled in relief,
She whinnied to him, trying to see if he would like to join her.

[Ardelis]

Thayer-
Thayer snapped his head around and his eyes gazed upon a sweet mare standing beside the lake. A grin danced across his face as he strutted over to her. His pale mane trickled in front of his face as he closed the distance between them.
As he came up in front of her he gave a small bow and a wink. "Well hello there," he flipped his forelock out of his face showing off his emerald eyes. "The name's Thayer. And who do I have the pleasure of meeting?" He looked over her glossy pelt admiring her cherry brown markings.

Kyla
She smiled shyly as the hansome stallion trotted over to her with a flirty little wink.
"Hey, My name's Kyla."
She said with a slight blush, her Teal eyes met his.
"Nice to meet you."

As she looked at him she realised that she didn't recognize him.
"Hey, where do you come from?"
She then realized how stupid that sounded.

"W-well i meant, like where do you live, I just realized that i don't recognize you."
She hoped she hadn't spoiled the conversation with that awkward question.

[Ardelis]

Thayer-
Thayer bent his head and took a sip of the cool water while Kayla talked. After she asked her question Thayer raised his head back to meet her gaze. He smiled at her stutter, it was quite cute seeing her a little off her guard. She seemed like quite a nice girl. "I have been wandering around the bayous for a couple years. I've just recently wandered into this territory though." He looked back towards the trees and then back over the water, "Are you here with a herd?" he asked casually gently flicking his tail.

Kyla
"Oh how funny, I am leadmare of this territory's Herd."
She said smiling, a wee bit proud of her position in the herd.

"But do you belong to a band? There has been a lot of stallions around here lately."
She gazed off, dreading those obnoxious colts trying to sweep mares from the herd before Kyla had the chance to chase them off.

She snapped back to attention.
"W-well, just didn't know if you, were, uh, patrolling with them."
She giggled nervously and blushed-
~WHY AM I SO SPUTTERY?~ she screamed to herself
~LEARN TO SPEAK KYLA, REALLY.~

She looked back at him sheepishly waiting to be laughed at. He only stood there with a smile.

Thayer-
Thayer chuckled softly and smiled genuinely at Kayla. He shook his head softly, "Im just a lone stallion. No need to worry about me or anyone being with me." he took a step closer to her gazing back into her eyes "Lead mare you say? That's quite impressive. You certainly don't look old enough for the title, but I have no doubt you're a born leader." A wider smile graced his muzzle as he tossed her another flirty wink.
