Welcome to the world of Rune Dragons; they are rare, magical dragons with feathered wings; and most importantly, Rune markings on their wings and tail. Despite their peaceful, harmonic nature, there are various events, some catastrophes, some delightful meetings in which everyone may celebrate.

Society Development?
Social System: This World is actually a democracy; there are a few council members who make major decisions about everything. However, their strength isn't THAT strong; the other dragons have the freedom to do almost whatever they want to do. However, they do live in small groups, and may even declare that they own some land--
It all depends. In some areas, the technology is highly developed, and there are evil devices and powerful political systems. In others, the area is basically a peaceful forest, with the bird-like dragons flying around, not being greedy; all they do is hunt for themselves and their young, and enjoy themselves by singing, playing, sharing jokes, or other kinds of good-natured fun.

Current Plot?:
Most Rune Dragons are living in peace and enjoying their lives. However, though, there are the slightest sign of a dark force rising. A few had seen hints of evil, and have heard gossip about a group, or an individual, trying to put all Rune Dragons under their control. Despite this, there's almost nothing really to worry about; many trust these are just stories, not the truth. Is it?

1. No injuries
non-Severe scrapes and bruises inflicted to each other is okay, however you must get the other perosn's permission before putting a dragon into a fatal comma, break their leg, etc. And actually there is a Spirit World. Killing is only permitted if there is full permission from the owner, and only if the dragon dies in an appropriate way; not by anything seriously violent.

2. No humans/other animals
Only Rune Dragons can be in here. Also, this world is different from ours; we are 'roleplaying' them, not 'interacting' with them INSIDE this roleplay.

3. No godmodding
Don't try to change major events in the plot, or make gary-sues or mary-sues. I dare you to.

4. This is SEMI-LITERATE
Every post should be AT LEAST 5 lines. I hope you people enjoy writing ^w^ if I see ridiculously one-liner posts, I'll PM you to improve...not to be harsh, though. 5 lines isn't that much actually C: And I'd prefer nice formatting (e.g color/boldface dialogues, write the Rune Dragon's name in big letters at the front of their post.)

The world is large, however let's try and make the roleplay relevant; so I'm trying to make everything happen in one place, and that is-

-actually it's Republic City from Legend of Korra x3 I just love that cartoon <3

'Metropolita'

Being the center of civilization, this place is truly metropolitan; not as advanced as humans, but amazingly some parts are as developed as using steam engines, while most architectures resemble that of medieval castles. It is an impressive, glorious place. As much as there are 'wealthy', happy dragons, the difference between the happy and the poor is quite large, considering it a large metropolitan area. The poor dragons sometimes live like wanderers, never staying in one home but moving around. Some of them even only appear at night, while others roam free during daylight, trying to find food/fun. Sometimes, when there is famine or during winter, there isn't much meat to eat and they are very hungry. The 'rich' in the other hand, have a storage of various meat and a good home to live in; also some of them have place in the Council. They are basically aristocrats--while some are compassionate and help the poor, some are selfish and care only about themselves.

On the boundaries of the great city is a peaceful forest; the dragons who live here enjoy a quiet life related to nature--trickling streams, golden sunlight...some of the dragons consider the forest dwellers primtive and weird; however, in the forest there are no headaches about ranks, poverty, or wealth, so many actually prefer to have a life of total sovereighty in the forests. Many dwellers live in loose family or friend groups, and often move around and play innocent games and have fun.

These dragons have almost nothing to worry about, they have everything they want. They have an important place in society because of their wealth and sometimes high positions. They usually are traders or inventors, or other dragons who have become successful through inheritance or effort.

Yeah, they're average dragons; they have warm homes and a generally nice life. Not too rich, but they prefer living a quiet, happy life doing whatever they want and make a better society; and also to reach their personal goals.

These unlucky dragons are slightly under average; they aren't totally lost, but they rarely have time for carefree recreations because they have a hard time living a good life and managing to continue on. However, though, many are still hopeful and have a chance to become one of the commmoners, with a bit of work.

These dragons--well, poor them--either by birth or by a tragic event, they are living the hardest life ever. They rarely have homes because the society rejects them at times; they prefer to wander around in places that are welcmoing and friendly towards them, and places they can try to settle in. Some are optimistic, but some are crafty and think of nothing but ambition to get a better life. The worst ones though are the ones who really want the society rules and system to change completely...perhaps, maybe, they are talking about it.

Nobody knows who exactly this dragon is; except that he or she is the leader of all the bad side, and has almost indragon abilities. He/she is a thing of nightmare and horror; some believe that this dragon is nothing but myth, but actually it's a real one.

These are dead dragons--they live on as spirits, though they can choose to shift into 'touchable', mortal form for a short time. Nontheless, they're technically-well, dead. They have no ranks.

Personality:
Inferno is normally your laid back, take what comes kind of Rune Dragon. He doesn't mind much, and "goes with the flow". Sometimes he may be a little bit too rough, but he'll always apoligize afterwards. He's quite the flirt, too! Howver, he's now very troubled. Troubled, confused, puzzled, whatever. You get my point. He feels that perhaps being a commoner on the good side is perhaps not enough, that perhaps he should join the rebels as a power-hungry recruit. He hates himself and feels terribly guilty for even thinking such things, but the idea's always nagging at the back of his mind.
History:
For now, not much is known about his history. He first encountered other Runes when he was fully-grown, but doesn't have many memories of his childhood. Since then he's joined the good side and moved up to a Commoner ranking, where he has- for the most part- been very content. Until now, that is, when he's stopped bashing the rebels in side discussions about them throughout the group.
Skills:
He would make a great spy, for he's got an amazing ability to stay unnoticable even with his daring, flashy shades of red and orange. He's also quite strong, and his muscles have grown as fast as he has.
Likes and Dislikes:
As for likes: Warmer days (Not too hot), extremely cold days (We're talking 20 degrees farenheit or below), rainy days, windy days, basking in the sun, having nothing to do, working hard and accomplishing lots.
Dislikes: An awkward kind of quiet, feeling guilty, owing things to different Runes, snow (Quite odd, he does like cold days...), and extreme heat.

She is a rather poor dragon, though she does her best to get a better life.
Personality:
Beneolent, helpful, and very, very optimistic, you definately want Nadja as a companion. She is a loyal, reliable friend, and does her best at everything. Despite her situation, she never moans over it, and rarely complains. There are flaws, though, to her great personality; she amost never accepts her mistakes, and she DOES have a kind of dignity; call her a lazybum, sleepyhead, etc, and she will become very angry because she is misunderstood. She thinks there is nothing more worse than fallacy and prejudice.
History:

She doesn't remember her childhood that much, but she is used to living on her own. She sees no problem in doing that; she managed to learn etiquette and manners by her natural politeness, and by socializing with others.
Skills:
She is talented at lots of things, and is very efficient. She has good concentration and finishes things quick, with good results. She is pretty stealthy and though she is guilty about eavesdropping, when she is curious she has no choice but to listen on conversations; especially if they harm another dragon, so that she can ease things out.
Job:
Her 'job' changes from time to time, depending on which are open and which will give her most benefit. Usually she runs simple errands for dragons who need her help, because of her fast feet/wings.

(Good) Wanderer trying to just work her way up to 'poor'
Personality:
A rather timid little dragon, Ashlyn has a minor fear of crowds and densely populated places. Ash does whatever she can to help out, though sometimes this can just get her into deeper trouble than she's already in. She's rather quiet, used to others just sort of overlooking her when she's around, and often has trouble talking to others.
History:
Hatched somewhere far away, Ashlyn... Ash never exactly fit in. She was always active during the night, which caused some friction with the rest of her family, and her collection of knick-knacks (which others saw as nothing but trash that should be thrown away) was always a hot issue, and more than once Ashlyn woke up to find her treasures simply thrown away. Her appearance was also a bit... unsettling, others would be rather creeped out if she stared at them with her large, black eyes.

Eventually, once she was old enough to take care of herself, Ashlyn simply ran away. She's been wandering all over ever since, spending time in any city, town or forest she comes across, just looking for someone she might be able to call a friend.
Skills:
Even if she's had to do it alone, Ashlyn is a tough little dragon, having managed to survive on her own for several years. She's a great listener, too, and will always offer her time to anyone who just needs someone to be there for them. Ashlyn's greatest skill, however, is charmwork- her particular rune designates a gift for guardianship and dream magic, and she weaves this into special dreamcatchers made from any beads and string she can find, as well as her own feathers.

Sells her dreamcatchers whenever she can make some and others show interest in purchasing them.

Personality: Twitch is a friendly, gentleman dragon. He loves to entertain, wether they be old or young, and his generous heart is sometimes his downfall. Sometimes he has a smart alec personality. 
History: Twitch was lonely, he'd spend hours by himself living in the human city, where he learnt the modern technology. When he discovered there was a rune dragon paradise, he had to check it out.
Skills: Twitch is a whiz with gadgets and technology, he is often creating little devices that he can sell. He is most likely the best Tech Rune Dragon.

Personality:
Dotori is an out-going Rune Dragon. Although he is a bit shy and unsure at new things at first, once he feels the need to do it, he will try until he achieves his goal. However, he comes off as shy because most things don't strike him fancy enough to spend his energy persuing. So he can also come off as lazy as well as unsure of himself. But when he does see something that's worth shooting for, he will not stop at anything until he succeeds in whatever he was doing.
Dotori is also the clumsy type, as he will trip over small rocks, or almost fall off of tree branches. He's the kind that will even trip over smooth ground. Sometimes, people mock him, and that makes him sad or angry. However, he tries to hold his head up high and pretend these clumsy moments never happened. He's a sensitive guy, but he never admits it. Sometimes, he has too much pride to admit to such things.
However, deep down, he's just a slightly misunderstood character that just want some kindness. Others have always mocked him for being so clumsy. He just wants someone to understand that he can't control the fact he's so clumsy on his feet. And to the few who showed him the kindness he'd been searching for, he gives them unconditional loyalty and generousity and never wavers from their side.
He also has a secret desire to find the cure to everything. Because of his color blindness to the color red, he wanted to find a cure for that, and to other things as well. He also saw others suffer, and it broke his heart. Since almost literally the begining of his life, he's been trying to find a cure for everything. This is why he seems to have an obsession for acorns. He's always running around, trying to find acorns...acorns... Dotori thinks it might be the solution to everything.
History:
When he was a wee dragon, his parents always took care of him, protected him... They gave him his acorn necklace that sparked his interest in acorns. Dotori was a clever little dragon, picking up on things quickly and easily.
However, he could never seem to get his colors correctly. His parents got worried: what if their kid couldn't...couldn't... They tried to forget it. They tried to deny it. But alas, it was true.
Their little baby was color-blind.
The parents were devastated. How? How could their child be color-blind? But it was true. And they couldn't stand it. They became a bit...insane. And soon enough, they abandoned Dotori. Just left him there during the night.
The next morning, Dotori woke up and found himself alone. Forever. For weeks, he tried to live all by himself. Then, he found some wanderers and picked up their lifestyle. Now he is a wanderer forevermore.

Rank: Good. Wandering dragon.
Personality: Arthur is very brave and chivalrous as well. He can be either polite or mean. Once on his bad side it is hard for somebody to get off, but it is not impossible. Once angry, he will begin to attack and do it tirelessly. He is also very mischevious and enjoys playing all sorts of pranks on others. His favorite is scaring others. He will hide high in a tree, blending in with the surrounding leaves, then swoop down on an unsuspecting passerby and scare them. He will sometimes even start attacking them with his sharp sticks. He is also extremely loyal and will do anything for his family and friends. He is very protective over those he cares about and will defend them at any cost, much like any knight would. Arthur is stealthy and blends in easily to his surroundings. He is almost as smart as he is brave, but tends to be a bit impulsive and often acts before he thinks, which often results in mistakes. He is, however, highly observant and knows what is going on around him, which often helps when he is trying to protect others. He is kind most of the time and can be forgiving. He will make sure to thank one when it is necessary. He enjoys perching high up in trees and will sometimes prefer sitting there instead of flying, although he does enjoys the feel of the wind against his wings when he takes to the air. Arthur is a very determined little rune dragon and doesn't allow himself to get distracted easily. He is organized and knows when he is going to do something. Once Arthur has sent his mind to something, he will not back out of anything, whether it be some sort of fight or just a small outing to collect some food. He is extremely adventurous and can often be found in all sorts of unfamiliar or unexplored territory. (I got lazy and just pulled this off my form.)
History: Arthur grew up mainly alone, but he doesn't mind as it is what gave him his independent nature and self-reliance. To those few who he has come across and bonded with he will protect them under any cost. He's spent most of his life alone, wandering through the forest and creeping up on any unsuspecting travelers.
Skills: He is very good at fighting with the sticks that he sharpens himself. He is also quite stealthy when he wants to be and can sneak up on others easily. In his time he has learned to be very alert and he is no matter what he is doing which has helped him stay alive.

Personality:He is very tricky and funny as well. He loves to climb and is always up to no good! He loves to explore and is sometimes a mamas boy and stays close to me. Sometimes he is spoiled and wants his treats but other then that he likes to walk around like he is all bad and owns the house. One the outside he is all tough and strong but in the inside he had a soft spot for love and a good scratch behind the ear. Sometimes he is easily startled if he's taking a nap and you walk up on him with out making some sort of noise as well. He is a very funny and special Rune Dragon and can always cheer me up when I am down.
History:
He lives a nice and quant life in a nice cozy cottage that has a lovely garden in the back yard. He moved to the city to get away front the vikings and make a better life for himself. He had worked hard to build his home in the city and settled in to everyday life. He plans to work hard to make it to the top but is happy where he is now.
Skills:
A swift flyer, His sonic blast. He also dose what he is told and is great working with others and loves making popcorn! (If you can consider that a skill >.<) he isn't much of a cleaner but he loves to stay up late and work hard

Rank: Rather Poor?
Personality: Marlow is a quiet rune and tends to mind his own business unless he notices another Rune in dire need of help. He can be grumpy at times but that tends to be rather rare. Very protective of Rune's he thinks are family. He has a sweet tooth and can get greedy with his sweets.
History: Marlow was born into the rather poor sector of Metropolita. His mother was a simple gather and his father was a guard of low ranking. Marlow was the only one born of the poor couple and he grew up reading and entertaining himself with stories of fake lands and strange creatures. It amazed him that so many places could of been real or even thought up. His father hated that Marlow lived in books and always wanted him to make a proper living. He didn't understand his fathers worry until his parents both passed away due to illness. He found it hard to eat and still live in the family home. Luckily he done odd jobs for friends and neighbours. This allowed him to keep is ramshackled home and a few coins for food. He no longer reads books and finds then stupid. He burnt most of the books he had collected for simple fire starters. He has kept only one and that is the tale of a Mighty Rune that overcame the bad to become wealthy. His mother had given him the book when he had been only young.
Skills:
Job: He learnt to gather and collect. He sells them from his home which now is not so ramshackled. But still not as good as the Commoners homes. Which he wants to be one day.

Rank: Rather poor ( she is like Marlow's sister)
Personality: Danika is like a bossy and annoying older sister. She loves to be in charge and when she isnt she becomes grumpy. Around family and Runes she likes she is loyal and trust worthy. Nothing could make her betray her loved ones trust. She can be boisterous and bouncy when she eats too much cake.
History: Danika was born into this life and grew up being the boss of her family. After her mother died when she was young she took care of her father til she was old enough to mate. He soon died from illness also. Even without parents ow she knew how to look after herself and remained in the small house near her best friend Marlow's home. They had grown up together and she had helped him sometimes to make ends meet. Now Marlow was always quiet and alone she had decided it time for her to job hunt.
