Winterstream looked at Mintpaw's paw. "Can you feel it again?"

Mintpaw shook his head, his paw pressed against the ground in an awkward position.

Winterstream eyed it worridly.

Scarletpaw padded into the medicine cat den, setting the leaf at Winterstream's paws.
"I happened to find this by a stump of a tree! There was only one bee, but I killed it with a pebble without getting stung! I thought it might be nice to give it to you!" She meowed, smiling as she unwrapped the leaf. Under the green leaf was a bee-hive with honey inside it.

"Thank you!" Winterstream smiled and purred at Scarletpaw. "That was brave of you. I'm afraid of bees..."

Scarletpaw nodded, smiling proudly.

Mintpaw gave Scarletpaw a hard look, as if feasting on her happiness. Scarletpaw quickly dipped her head, and dashed out of the den.

Winterstream sighed and carefully put the honey comb next to the other herbs. "I know you got rejected Mintpaw..."

[starrine]

Mintpaw shot a glare at Winterstream.
"Why would you care? I'm going for a walk." He growled, avoiding the topic, and got up, walking out of the den and then camp.

[Cap'n Rose]

Winterstream sighed once more. "You don't have to treat them like they're all some kind of disease." She knew he had left...but she felt like she needed to say it.
