Apprentice Ceremony
Leader: (Kit), you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as (name of cat, ending with 'paw'). I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior.

The leader calls up the warrior he/she has chosen as a mentor.

Leader: (Warrior), you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from (former mentor), and you have shown yourself to be fierce and brave. You will be the mentor of (apprentice), and I expect you to pass on all you know to (apprentice).

The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice by calling out his/her name. After this, the apprentice will usually go greet their family, or go see to their mentor.

"Let all cats old enough to catch heir own prey gather beneath the snowy rock for a clan meeting!"Icestar yowled, climbing up the icy and slippery rock.

Foxkit ran up to the Snowyrock, his stomach churning. Was he really a mess-up.? Grasping a faint white blaze in the brush beside him, he cocked his ears. "I-Is anyone there..?" He asked curiously, a faint shake to his mew. "I know how to fight.!" He warned, bristles rising. A chuckle, low and mellow, sounded, Burningsun stepping into the spotlight. "Remember my words, because I can almost guarantee you'll screw this up." He chided, and stalked off the Icestar's side, placing himself gracefully beside her.

"It seems a kit has turned 6 moons old today. It is foxkit."she said"He reminds us all to much of The past foxpaw I must say."then she stooped and began the ceremony

Shock rippled through the clan. The past foxpaw had also been her apprentice, but even so nobody knew why this one should be also. He also had been found in the Forrest and ussually only deputy's kits were mentored by the leader of the clan!

Foxkit backed up in surprise, but soon collected himself. "Thank you." He mewed, and padded forwards, touching noses with Icestar, and giving her a kind lick on the shoulder.

Redpaw padded into camp, looking for his mentor.

Icestar touched noses with him. She jumped down from the rock with the apprentice and signaled to him to follow her into the leader's den.
