There's no rule that says you can't, after all." She felt a bit bad for the older she-cat after her only denmate, Russetswirl, had left the elders' to den to become a warrior. True, Russetswirl was younger than Oatleaf, but even she wasn't that old. "Have you ever considered having kits again?" she asked curiously. "You probably still can. That is, if you found the right tom." She nudged the elder teasingly.

His eyes looking over to the medicine cat's den overhearing that the Bearpaw was returned and some other cats were got hurt, but he didn't know anything else.

Her deputy was nowhere to be found - disappeared into Robinwind's den with his apprentice, she assumed. Her anger towards him had faded with her anger at Tigerblaze. She'd still have to talk to him, to ensure that he knew to come to her before rushing out into the midst of things so that they could formulate a plan, but it would be more so advice than scolding. Slush shifted under her paws as she leaped atop her den. The Great Tree had once been used for leaders to speak from, many moons ago, but now lying on it's side, it made a good home for OakClan's leaders. Her claws kneaded the bark briefly as she sat down, her tail hanging off of the log.

A t Southstar’s question, Swiftbadger’s eyes widened and his ears angled towards the leader’s. It was clear that he was shocked; why would Southstar assume that? Why would he even ask? Mistflower was his friend, sure - but if any cat were suspicious of him having a love interest, he doubted they assumed it would be Mistflower, given the fact that he spent most of his time with a different queen. “No, no, nothing like that,” the tom assured. His mouth was open, ready to continue - when his words turned to a surprised yowl of pain. Daydream had yanked the hook out while he had been busy being embarrassed. Swiftbadger hissed as the wound throbbed and the poultices were rubbed onto it. It stung. But when Daydream got the cobwebs around it, he let out a sigh of relief. He could tell something must of happened that was troubling her over whatever had gotten her angry at Tigerblaze. Robinwind finished his meal, the awful gnawing feeling in his stomach disappearing. He looked back over to the three cats who were laying in the den at the moment and sighed. To think that just that morning, everyone in the clan had been healthy. But now Dappleleaf and Ivypaw had fallen into the river, and Bearpaw had been attacked by a fox! Robinwind really didn't know what to make of that. And he had no idea what the twoleg might have done to Bearpaw. He sighed and took a few moments to groom his long fur. At least Creamflower's and Beestar's kits were all healthy, and there was no sign of greencough in the camp.

The warrior sighed at the whole situation. There was no good that came from a clan fighting amongst itself, but the leaf-bare was hard and it was easy to get more irritated on an empty stomach. "Come with if you want," she said again to Lostnight, "But we can talk once we get back to camp with some prey."

Streamspot side eyed Frostpetal as she coughed harder. She laid her tail across Stagleap's shoulder to calm her. The queen had been up and walking there was no need to be scared, yet. She meowed in a gentle but firm tone, "You should go see Daydream. It's always better to let your medicine cat know about these things. He'll probably just give you some honey to soothe you." She meowed. Daydream always appreciated knowing about any slight sicknesses in the camp. If he knew early on he could be more prepared with herbs, and send out patrols with their eyes open to search for them.

Seeing the robin Splashfeather got her, Bearpaw's green eyes lit up. "Oh I'm starving! Thank-you!" She took a big bite of the bird thinking as she chewed. "Thanks for sticking up for me back there with Tigerblaze." She meowed with an appreciative nod to Splashfeather. "He has got to be the grouchiest cat ever. I'm glad he's not my mentor. Poor Jackdogpaw." Bearpaw was infinitly happy with Blizzardclaw. Even though he was sure to punish her for this latest stint he was always kind and had taught her so much.
