Saturn listens to her quietly as she asked the question of whether or not he could feel pup's auras before they were born, and he had to pause before he responded. "Faintly, yes. But it depends on how strong they are and how far along the mother is." he told her, shifting his paws against the moss-and-dirt forest floor. At her queries about the concerns [and fears] he had about her flying. His ears flicked back, briefly, but he answered her nonetheless. "If a dam's wings -- or her strength -- would give out while she flew if she bore pups, she would likely crash and the pups would be in danger of death. Our faes, when bearing pups, are not allowed to fly. Also if she were to take a sharp turn or move her wings abruptly or in a way that could cause herself discomfort, either of the movements could cause the pups to shift. It would be likely she would be her pups early." He stared at his paws as he spoke, the tip of his tail flicking uncertainly and a bit uncomfortably.

Tempest nods, listening to him speak, and placing it all into her memory."Oh.." she murmmers. "Well.. I suppose that is a good set of reasons." she answers him after a long moment. "Did that happen much Cass?" she asks him, not sure she wants to know the answer. "Mothers flying and all that happening. Thats why the rule in your old pack? Did they survive? " her eyes are wide.

Saturn kept his violet gaze on his paws as Tempest processed the information that he had provided her, feeling as though his aura was constricting him, even though the logical side of his mind knew that it was, in fact, not. "Two years ago. My mother's sister. She would have had a litter of seven." He said stiffly, "Only one of the pups survived."

"Oh.. I'm sorry." she notes his stiffness, and feels guilty. She streaches out and touches his shoulder comfortingly, or at least trying to be so. Tempest dips her head, sad for his grief and sudden change from being her friend. She swallows, not sure how to speak with him now. "Well... at least one made it? " she murmmers, hoping that is comforting. "I wont fly." she promises, "Not while I'm expectant. I promise.'' she tells him. Hoping that helps.

Saturn drew a breath to calm himself, knowing that he was probably making Tempest concerned for him, considering how tense he had sounded when he had spoken of his aunt and her litter. He almost flinched when she touched him, but he didn't, managing to only twitch one of his wings -- the uninjured wing -- instead of a full-body flinch. He turns slightly so that he could press his nose against the side of her neck briefly, before he drew back, "Alright. You're okay, I'm calmer, and we still have a rabbit to catch." his violet gaze lifts to her face, only having spoken after she made her promise.

She'd noticed his rigidity and tries to push down the hurt she feels. "Good." a wide grin, and Tempest stands, "Smells like rabbit that way." she points, flicking her tail and ears in sync. Was he angry with her? Or was the promise she isnt sure she wants to keep - but will because she never breaks a promise - be enough? Shaking out her pelt, the she-wolf smiles again and waits for him to stand and join her.

Shadow had originally been hesitant to let Tempest go, considering how far along the pale fae. Even though he had agreed to let her go with the golden-pelted Scout before, he wanted to change his mind and tell her that their trip would have to wait. He didn't go back on his word, though, and as the three wolves made their way to the far border that ended his land and began where Saturn and Tempest's trip would take place. Cass stood slightly off to the side, his violet gaze scanning the land across the border, his now healed and stronger wings rustling restlessly against his body, allowing the alpha and alphess space so they could speak before the Scout and Tempest set off.
"I still don't think this is a good idea, Tempest," Shadow said in a slightly concerned tone, his silver gaze fixed on Tempest's face. "But if you are certain you can make it, then I will not stop you from going." He had promised her that she could go, and he would not break his promise unless Tempest was unsure of herself.

Tempest was busy trying to reach where a pup has kicked her repeatedly, and hard, but ends up brushing herself against a tree since she cannot reach it. Her paws already ache but she wont tell him that. Why give her mate another reason to want her to stay? She would be fine. Sure... the trip would take alittle longer than expected but it would work out. They'd all see. "We'll be fine Shadow, dont worry so. You can check on us each night at dusk. It'll be fine." the whole checking-in thing was something she'd come up with when she realized how heavy with pups she is. Sure, she is worried. But why not have some fun? "Don't worry,we'll be back at latest early next moon." she rights herself and licks his cheek, no-longer angry with him. "I...I love you." three words she has never before this time said to her mate.

Shade sighs softly at her words, though it is not one of exasperation, more of acceptance. He, even if he told her she couldn't go, knew that she would go anyway. After all, she had been looking forward to the trip for the past moon and a half. The dark-pelted alpha nodded slightly as she continued to speak, telling him about when the two of them should be back by. By next moon, Tempest would be just about ready to bear her pups, which was mostly why Shadow was so hesitant to let her leave. "As I you, my dear Tempest," he responded, licking her cheek after she had his. "Cassiel," his silver gaze moved to the golden wolf, who looked over when his name was said, who also read what the alpha had wanted to say through his aura, and lowered his head in an accepting bow, although he returned to scanning the land beyond the border. "Be safe," he said, turning his gaze back to the pale-pelted fae, before he took a few steps back, to show that he would willingly allow her to leave.

Tempest flicks an ear and offers a care-free grin. "See ya Shade." she barks and sets off, leaving heavy prints behind her as she dissapears into the rising-sun's light. She wants to get as much ground covered before she becomes exausted so she walks steadilly, glancing over her shoulder at her dejected-looking mate, toung lolling before her head lowers and she walks some more. Briefly, the she-wolf wonders if Cassiel will walk with her a while, or always fly. It would be lonely if all he did was fly.
