Firstly, Bloodsong is an experienced senior dark forest warrior. And even though mapleclaw is the leader, a) she is not well liked, b) Appleshade is very protective over his own cousin, c) more action and fighting should take place between them before she gets severely wounded, d) even though mapleclaw got the killing blow, it wouldn't be fair for an experience senior warrior to go down without a fight and die within one post.
I am not ranting or something because it had been done, but I would let Bloodsong die with a slow and torturous death, just as you have requested her death. Because that would a driving force for her cousin to raise an rebellion against Mapleclaw and mapleclaw only.
Secondly, a bunch of Dark Forest cats have followed Appleshade into the campgrounds and joined the clans because a) they have had enough with Mapleclaw's sadistic nature and her tempers, [removed] b) mapleclaw is an egoistic she-cat with a nature to kill, even her mate, this showed Appleshade was nothing but just a piece in her game to make her stronger because he is her mate. c) Mapleclaw in general is not well liked due to her personality and the way she treated people.
Thirdly, Appleshade had decided he had enough with Mapleclaw so a) he left the Dark Forest to join the clans, because he realized that there are more important things in life than kill counts, b) Littlepaw let him understand the matter of love, respect and family values, which is something that he was never given since he mated with Mapleclaw. c) he left Mapleclaw because he realized he deserved better and realized his role in her life was nothing more than a piece in her game. d) he was never treated fairly, he was used just because he is a good killer, and he wasn't appreciated for all the things he had done for the Dark Forest, rather asking him to do more. It's the matter of Give. And. Take. And this is what Mapleclaw herself lacks. (Her personality and attitude is a major problem.)
Fourthly, Mapleclaw and Appleshade are no longer mates. Don't ask why, I've told you.
Fifthly, I never said Flamepaw is related to Appleshade or Mapleclaw. He is a streamclan medicine cat apprentice who currently resides in Streamclan medicine den. And Appleshade left the Dark forest with a bunch of cats to go to Streamclan and strengthen Streamstar so the sentence of Mapleclaw talking to Flamepaw Does. Not. Make. Sense. According to Flamepaw's forms, his mother and father died, and the name of Mapleclaw and Appleshade were never mentioned.
Finally, in my understanding, there are currently a few cats who wanted to stay with her. But Bloodsong, Appleshade, Scar, Torn, Red is not in the Dark forest.

(oh so if they get exiled out of the DF where will they go or they can't? haven't read to many books i read like all super additions into the wild fire and ice the darkest hour and most of the manga

//I don't read Warriors nowadays. I've grown out of it, I still fell for roleplaying them though. I've joined some really good roleplays with Dark Forest involved, they normally train cats and rise against the clans because they're evil creatures with a stone heart, (but yet they still have their gentle side, I believe they do have a nice heart under all those evil acts). But since this is a roleplay, we don't have to follow that plotline ^^ They normally recruit cats (aka you create a dark forest cat) or you agree to be a part of it and show up. Drama and creativity are encouraged between the dark forest and clanners. (Currently the df's mate is in the clan territory, he left with his dying cousin ^^ you can read backwards to see what happened in the DF and see if you want to be a part of this chaos)
