I heard they're terrifying... Never mind about that! My history is awful; which means I got a story to tell! I was hidden in a bush where no one could find me. My parents told me I was alright and they would come back after the battle, but they didn't. They were both killed. After the battle, I was taken care of by another cat. She nursed me and loved me, but then she couldn't keep me any longer. I was taken to Timberclan, and here I am now."

Moonshade looked up at Deathrage, blinking. She purred a little as he tried comforting her. She was really grateful he was here. She sighed, laying her tired head down again, wanting him to stay with her. She seriously didn't want to be left alone at all now. Something made her afraid of everything now... That was nothing like she'd ever been ever in her life. She'd always been clever, strong and calm in anything she did. But today was just too much.

Deathrage looked at her sympathetically, half of her ribs were broken, she'd be permanetly scarred, mentally and phiscically. "Do your ribs hurt, I mean, are you hungry?" He asked, a soft loving tone in his voice. Maybe she could eat something, I mean, how are you suppose to tend to a heart broken cat while starving her? She will be okay, I just have to make sure she's accually Hungry, then I could tell her about the ceremonny, yeah, she'd like that, He planned in his head, lieing down in front of Moonshade. He wasn't leaving her over night, no, he wouldn't do very much of anything untill she was better, and when she could walk a little again, he'd pick up some more old warrior duties, but untill she was better, he didn't want to be a warrior.

Applesong smiled, at least Flickerkit wasn't demanding that they take the kits away. "Only five moons ago you were the same. They will open there eyes and learn to talk in time." The queen told her kit.

Moonshade blinked her dark, tired eyes and smiled. "Actually, I am a little hungry." She hardly paid attention to her stomach at all lately. She'd been skipping meals just because of her depression. Her fight with Sunclaw only a couple of days basically caused her to stop eating period. For the past moon, she'd had nightmares about Tigerstripe, Stoneclan and her family again; making her spend a lot of quiet time in the forest, alone, without daring to eat anything. She'd just sit by the stream, lost in her thoughts, not moving as she sat right by the shore. At times, she'd sit with Sunclaw, well, Sunpaw then, just spending time with her; enjoying the limited time she had with her adoptive kit before she discovered the truth today. She didn't know why; but an empty stomach meant something else to her according to the way she felt.

The beautiful, mysterious tabby released a little purr before she let Deathrage get up and mumbled with narrowed eyes, "And make sure you pick something else for you to eat- I haven't seen you eating since you found me in the forest and that was hours ago. Please eat something; you've done so much, Deathrage." It was amazing that she knew how stubbornly bitter and quiet this tom usually was and how he was now the complete opposite around her now. As she finished talking, she raised her head and licked his cheek- on the side where his other eye had once been from the dog fight.

Deathrage looked at her, and purred, nodding. He purred louder, "As you wish," He said, nuzzling Moonshade affectionatly. Though he was not hungery, so why waste prey on him? He padded out of the medicine cats' den and quickly went to the fresh kill pile, Deathrage looked for the juciest piece of prey and found a huge fat vole. Wow! That must be the biggest vole I've ever seen! He thought, picking up the huge vole, and quickly padded back to Moonshade. "Here you go," He said, laying it near Moonshade's mouth. "I got the plumpest peice I could find," He meowed softly.

The dark grey tabby sighed as she watched Deathrage leave to get the kill. She sighed with happiness, despite how she'd really been feeling all day. She tried to flex one hind-leg that hadn't been hurt and noticed it was only just stiff from when Claw slammed her against the boulder repeatedly. She winced just thinking of that; that was definitely what had affected her ribs. Should I tell Duckpond about that, too? No... He's so tired. She decided it would be fine to leave it be. Her body was so broken, it didn't make a difference. She looked back around as she heard pawsteps returning, and lowered her graceful leg slowly as he laid down the vole. Her mouth watered but she frowned when she saw he had nothing for himself. He must just not be hungry, I guess. She smiled sweetly at him and murmured, "Thank you." She lowered her face towards her meal and licked her lips. This thing's huge! She was right; this vole was really big... and perfect looking...
The moment she sank her teeth in the juicy meat, she ripped it apart hungrily. She hadn't eaten anything in days and her stomach was screaming for food. "Mmm.." She finished every last bit of the meat and started gnawing on the bones.

Deathrage let out a little mrrow of laughter, "Do you want me to get you more?" He asked, noticing it must've been days since she'd last eaten. Seeing her eat the vole made him hungry, No, she's more important than hunger He thought, ignoring his yearn for hunger. "You'll always be beautiful, no matter what," He whispered to Moonshade.

Moonshade shook her head, sighing. If she took more, she'd just feel guilty. "No. I'm content this way," she murmured, smiling a little. She blinked all of a sudden, shocked by his remark about her always being beautiful. Her eyes fluttered more, in confusion, shock and humbleness. She stared at her paws shyly. No one called her beautiful except for Tigerstripe. "You think I'm.. beautiful?" she whispered, not able to meet his eye.
She wondered what he really thought. Everyone in the clan except for Littlehawk, Sunclaw and Morningdove had always thought she'd had a mate that somehow died in the battle before Timberclan was formed and she kitted Sunclaw and Foxchaser in her own `sorrow`of her lover being dead. But no one knew who was. What would Foxchaser think? What would Sunclaw think??
