"Ink? Where do I recognise that name from..." Then he stopped, and stood still... "Miss... Come with me. I have to show you something..." He ran back the way they had come, scared. He didn't want to see her reaction to this, but she had to know.

[SilverHund]

"Sure,' Chako said, racing after him. What was wrong?

[Solanum]

Mars stopped by Ink's body, frowning. Tears began to form in his eyes as he looked down at Ink. He hadn't known the older pup, but he was sure Chako would be upset.

[SilverHund]

Chako winced and looked away. "No...N-not again," she whispered. A tear fell. "we have to give him a proper funeral." She didn't want to go all crazy.

Rai's spirit floated down. "NO! INK! Not again, please no!" he sobbed.

[Solanum]

Mars frowned, and looked down at his paws. "I'm sorry Miss... Who was he?"

[SilverHund]

"He was Karrie's grandson. And one of my adopted children," Chako whined. She slung Hakuri over her back and picked up the limp body of the pup. She started walking back, her head hanging low.

[Solanum]

"Miss, I'm so sorry..." His own head hung low, his tail between his legs. All the happiness and excitement from earlier had been lost, forgotten.

[SilverHund]

"It's not your fault. Later, we can do something fun," Chako said, trying to cheer him up.

[Solanum]

Chako's attempt to cheer him up failed. He just couldn't think straight when he knew that Ink had been killed. Sure it wasn't anything to do with him, its not like he did it, but he still felt responsible in a weird way.

Chako sighed. Maybe she would have to wait until the pups were born before she and Mars could do something...
