Duckpond stretched, and then he looked over at Stempaw- his expression unreadable. "So I've heard..." The saddened cat looked down, feeling his spirits go almost as low as the dark forest. The death of Morningdove was a sad one. "Such a bitter situation this has turned to..." Duckpond laid himself down with a sigh. he didn't feel like moving anymore. "...Quack."

He finally returned that greeting.

Barkkit nodded, her tail curlec between her legs. Green eyes were wide as she looked at her older brother.

He looked at her with a soft tone, "We will avenge Morningdove's death," He promised, "But untill the clan is strong enough again, we have to stay strong," He said, licking her cheek. He looked at her ungroomed pelt and frowned, his jaw aching from the earlier journey of carring Moonshade back to camp from near the farthest border.

Sprucepaw watched uninterested as Stempaw spoke with her mentor, before returning her teal gaze to Moonshade and Deathrage. She felt a twinge of sadness as Morningdove's fate drifted in the conversation, and she dropped her eyes for a moment. Studying her paws, she thought sadly of what had happened. Rogues were never good, of course, but that they should kill a warrior was terrible. She burned with anger against those who had brutally murdered a wonderful she-cat, and wounded Moonshade. She tilted her head up, gazing back in front of her. Glad of Deathrage's comforting Moonshade, she relaxed a bit. The injured she-cat would be fine for now.

Raccoonstrike smiled as he watched his new apprentice bounce away, giving a soft huff of nostalgia. He stretched his front paws out, splaying them with open claws. He straightened back up and shook his fur, his whiskers fluttering. He turned at the sound of Desertbloom's question. Blinking, he gazed to her with mild interest. "Why yes, I'd love to." He responded immediately, pleased by her request. His eyes darted around camp. "Same here..." He murmured in a softer voice as his eyes found Morningdove's body. He flicked his ears and padded forwards, looking to Desertbloom.

He wasn't sure what the creature that had seemed to fuss at him for his offensive attempt had said or meant, but he did meow a little at being pushed, shortly ending up sitting after getting his balance back. Then his small nose quivered as he sniffed, before wriggling back to his siblings, ending up next to Sootkit first, feeling that the frustrating thing had backed off. Owlkit then snuggled up between his brother and mother, and tiredly plopped back down, his little charade had taken most of his energy, and he exhaled, relaxing and attempting to go back to sleep like he had been before whatever had bothered them had come now that it seemed to have gone away again.

Applesong

Applesong watched Flickerkit interact with the newborns. They seemed to have no idea who or what she was. With a smile she looked up at her eldest daughter. "These are your younger siblings. They were born not too long ago, so be careful." The queen told her kit. Licking Archkit soothingly as he began to whine. Though this wasn't her first litter, this was a new experience for her. She had only had to take care of Flickerkit as the only newborn before, now she had five little newly born kits.

Lightkit


Lightkit slowly
slipped into consciousness as she awoke from her sleep. Noticing, in annoyance, that her littermates where moving once more. Opening her small mouse, she let out a small high-pitched cry. Hoping her brothers were listen to it and obediently stop moving. Though Lightkit had not yet felt the paw, but she could hear it's voice along with her mothers. But the little kit had heard a lot of voices, and this one wasn't much different. All she was concerned about was for her brothers stop moving.

Sootkit

Sootkit, feeling alone flopped back down. Tired after this ordeal he started to lightly snore. Not knowing that his head had landed on Owlkit and not his mother as he presumed. The fluffy black and white kit took a nap again, once more feeling the warmth of his littermates, and was comforted knowing they could face whatever together. Sootkit ignored Lightkit's cry, as he was already asleep, and didn't want to be awoken.

Moonshade looked up at Deathrage, blinking. She purred a little as he tried comforting her. She was really grateful he was here. She sighed, laying her tired head down again, wanting him to stay with her. She seriously didn't want to be left alone at all now. Something made her afraid of everything now... That was nothing like she'd ever been ever in her life. She'd always been clever, strong and calm in anything she did. But today was just too much.

"Are you sure?" Tigerstripe asked softly. He was definitely going to stick with the in-need-of-love, innocent, helpless act. He lowered his face with a small sigh. "Alright, if you insist." He looked up, smiling a little and stood. He started to make his way to what seemed to be the warriors den slowly. He paused near the entrance, making it look like he felt uncomfortable going inside first, and alone. He turned his head around to look at Wiseheart, waiting kindly.

Wiseheart stood and quickly followed him. She saw the uneasiness in his eyes and smiled sympathetically. She placed her tail around his shoulders then went inside first. She found her nest and looked at it for a moment. You know what? I'll just let him have my nest for now. Wiseheart turned to him with a smile and mewed, "You can use my nest for now. I'll go gather you some fresh moss later." Tiredness was obvious in her eyes but she didn't care. She would sleep on the bare ground if she had too; she's done it before.

Desertbloom gave a small smiled and followed him, her mind still occupied yet lookig forward to the peace the forest would bring her. She loved the light during dusk and she instantly felt more carefree once they were away from camp.

Flickerkit wrinkled her nose at them. "Well whats the matter with them? They cant even talk!" she exclained, trying to make herself sound superior.

She padded back out into camp and sat, looking around. Three warriors sat vigil silently as the sun sank and Morningdove's motionless body sat in the middle. The only ones of her clanmates that wrre happy were the three new apprentices. She sighed and glanced around for her brother Ashpaw.
