Shadow That Dances at Night
The tom would open his maw to say something only to be abruptly cut off by one or the other. The intake of information he had just received was making him dizzy. From the bits and pieces he had picked up, the two of them had a stone-cold hatred for each other out of the blue, Talon loved him, Little accused her of being jealous, and finally, Talon admitted that Little was just his mate for the benefit of power. He strode forward, raising his head in a frustrated manner to let out an exasperated yowl,"Fighting is not going to get us anywhere." How ironic considering the situation they were currently in -- occupying a camp that was not theirs to begin with. "Where did this all come from?" he muttered partially to himself, leaning against Little for support. His heart was pulling him in two different directions. One half was telling him to follow Talon, while the other was clawing him back to where he stood beside Little. It was another answer he would have to make under pressure, and yet, he was tongue-tied. Why was this one of the most critical moments he felt he would ever have in his whole lifetime? Thinking back on the conversations he would have with Talon, he realized how obvious the signs had been. I must be mouse-brained.
Both she-cats held a place in his heart, but who had held it the longest, and who planned on keeping it the longest?

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
Despite his recent bouts of anxiety, he felt light on his paws for the first time in moons. The weight of the tribe's suffering still lingered in the back of his mind, but his faith was strong in the hope that Light would lead them properly. The tribe needed guidance most of all in their time of need, and Tempest had picked Light all those moons ago for a reason. Light had what it takes to be a future leader of the tribe, and it was obvious in his selfless actions from the start. Tempest would never trade-in his second-in-command for any other feline. Light was basically a brother to him.
Tempest rose to his paws, shaking his head at her request with a grin plastered on his features. "You stay here. I will find something for us both." He was a gentleman at heart. If he had anything to say about it, he would make sure Spirit never had to lift another paw again. Whether or not she allowed him to do so was another possibility. The tom turned to stalk off through the light underbrush, leaving little room for concealment. If there was going to be any prey on the isle, it would most likely be buried crabs, small snakes, maybe some birds, and a mouse here and there.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
Flower strolled out from the apprentice den, blinking away the light that filtered in through her deep green eyes. The apprentice luxeriously stretched out in a patch of sunlight outside of the room, basking in the warm that warmed her pelt for the time being. The ache in her paws was slightly more bearable, but she was going to make it a point to do little to nothing today. She needed time to recover for the journey, or so she would say.
