Sootstorm chuckles "Well I'm going to do this until someone yells at me. I think things are a little hectic today though, I heard Flamefoot talking about going to the moonpool this morning and now a random cat is with Mothstar in her den." the tom meows, continuing to watch the birds overhead.

Larksong nods thoughtfully, "Well all we do all day is rest so we can help you out with that." Larksong smiles "Is there anything you would like to hear? I'm afraid I'm starting to get forgetful with my age.." Larksong continues furrowing her brow. Crowflight sighs, he was the complete oposite to his sibling. Larksong is eccentric and loves being the center of attention where as Crowflight, he just likes to be fed and left alone. He was much like his sibling before he lost his sight in the fire that named Flamefoot, but has since become bitter. Crowflight takes another bite of the rabbit,"Larksong stop mucking about and eat." he grumbles lashing his tail.

Crookedpaw gave a laugh at what Sootstorm said, well lazing about on a nice day like this honestly didn't seem like a bad idea to the apprentice.. The fluffy tom-cats ears perked as he said something about a random cat being in the camp "Did you say something about a random cat being in camp? Sounds kinda interesting honestly. I wonder how Mothstars handling it.. the apprentice trailed off as he let his imagination run a bit wild with what the situation could possibly be. "As much as I want to go see the chaos that's probably unfolding in camp I think this spot in the sunny grass has grown on me it's quite comfortable.." the apprentice purred as he rolled around in the grass for a moment before sprawling out on his belly beside Sootstorm.

Cloudfur gave out a small sigh. "I do have a kin in a clan, but mother left that clan well before I was ever born, so I don't what they were like or who they were. I'm sorry."

Cloudfur was sorry that they couldn't say anything about their father, but he was never around, so they weren't all too upset to not talk about a tom that was never around.

The queen let out a soft chuckle. "Yeah, I'm expecting the pain to come soon."
Brook'step was very nervous for her first litter - she hadn't announced the father yet. Plus, would she be a good enough mother? Maybe her kits would hate her!
In some way, she felt lonely. The feline hadn't spoken to any-cat about her worries, since she didn't want to be viewed as a pest. Pushing the thoughts to the back of her mind, she listened to Flamefoot again.

"Yeah, I suppose it has been quiet. I think new kits is just what the clan needs. And I'm honoured for them to be mine." Brook purred in joy.

Flamefoot purred in response, happy to see that the new mother was ready for her new litter. A new scent caught his attention and he turned to see Mothstar speaking to a new young cat. His shoulder fur prickled uncomfortably as he watched them disappear from sight. Mothstar could more than handle herself but it wasn't every day they had new cats walk into their home. He hoped it didn't mean trouble. Pushing his worries away he turned back to Brookstep. "If there's anything you need, anything medicine or not, I'm always here to help." He assured her.


Thunderfall yawned widely as she stepped out of the warriors den. She had been up late last night doing a midnight borderpatrol. She always volunteered for them because she enjoyed the thrill of running through the forest at night and all the strange scents that came with it. She just hated how loud the rest of the clan was in the morning! She heard her sister, Silentbrook, get called for patrol and she waved her tail in greeting at her before finding a quiet spot to sit in the sun. She yawned again glancing around camp with her half closed eyes.

Mothstar listens carefully before nodding thoughtfully "Do not apologize for something you had no control over." the speckled molly goes silent for a moment "I am afraid I cannot allow you to join EchoClan just yet. I need to speak with my deputy and my medicine cats first. If we let you join us you will have to be an apprentice until I decide you prove that you are ready to serve as a warrior." Mothstar meows standing up "Return here tomorrow at sun high. I will have made my decision then." she continues stepping towards the entrance of her den.

Sootstorm chuckles "We're bound to find out later. Echoclan wouldn't run without all its gossip." the small silver tom meows "Anyways. I'm hungry and the fresh kill pile looks a bit empty, wanna come catch a mouse?" Sootstorm asks slowly getting to his paws.

Larksong chuckles "Alrighty then. How about Crowflight and my first warrior assessment?" Larksong asks taking a bite of the rabbit which had almost been entirely devoured by Crowflight "It was during the longest leaf bare. The clan was starving, many cats died that season. The thaw seemed to never come." Larksong goes quiet for a moment and looks to the sky remembering those who joined Starclan that season. Crowflight sits up and licks his siblings ear affectionately as they continue the story "We were onto the hunting part of the assessment, a difficult thing to do when fully trained warriors couldn't even catch anything themselves. We started at sunrise, by this point I was almost sunset and we hadn't even picked up the scent of any prey."
"Not to mention my whiskers and paws were so cold I thought they were going to fall off!" Crowflight adds, a slight smile appearing on his usually solemn face.
"Anyways, we're hopping through the trees, and you'll never guess what I saw!" Larksong continues, their bright eyes widening eagerly.

The small tom nodded standing up from his spot in the grass"Sounds like a plan to me.." wouldn't want to go hungry for the day he added to himself. He gave a quick stretch before standing up and starting after Sootstorm out of the camp.

She sat there silently and listened to the elder telling her a story about their life "that horrible? I hope there will not come that harsh leaf-bares anymore..." she meowed flattering her ears at the thought about dying clan mates. She flicked her tail a little more excited when the Larksong questioned about what they saw back then "hm? maybe something big, which could feed the whole clan?" she meowed.

Specklesong barely heard the words of the other warrior until halfway padded back across camp. He pauses in his steps and tries his best to hold back a particularly strong eyeroll before taking the freshkill he had so carefully picked for himself and the partner he would take with him on patrols. Prey in jaw, he slinks along the camp, nodding a greeting to the elders there and briskly meowing a tight, albeit polite meow to the two of them.
