Ashstar nodded excitedly. "Okay." He purred softly. Noticing the cats stirring around near the camp entrance, he glanced over. Looking to see who all was leaving. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Cloudypaw. A small frown formed on his face. "Before we go I need to speak with my apprentice." His eyes shifted back to his mate. "I don't want him to believe that I am neglecting him." Flicking his tail, the tom began to think of what to do with his mate for the next couple of hours. "I could go for stretching my legs." He smiled, "Would you be in objection to the idea of a stroll?"

Mouseberry watched uneasily as Flamingpaw commented on already knowing how to hunt. She frowned, wondering what was wrong. Was her presence making the tom nervous? Deciding to step in, the she-cat padded forward. "Sorry to interrupt." The calico cat gave a warm smile. "Why don't you teach Flamingpaw how to use her hunting skills as battle techniques?" Her tail flicked anxiously. Dipping her head, she padded back to where she was previously sitting. Mouseberry didn't want to intrude too much.

Nightpaw eyed the patrol. He was becoming antsy, ready to leave camp and be in the depths of the forest. His mouth was already watering at the idea of catching plump, juicy prey. The tom's eyes widened as he noticed his mentor getting up and following after Limeleaf. Not wanting to fall behind, he scurried to his paws and trotted on ahead. The tall tom lifted his head, enjoying the warmth of Greenleaf.

Heathersmoke padded out of the warriors' den and shook out her pelt. Her eyes drifted across the clearing, not looking for anyone in particular. She glanced back in the warriors' den and saw Bramblefire. She quickly looked away. He's nice, but I don't really know him. she thought, her tail laying flat on the ground. I don't think I'm ready to take a mate, although I don't have much of a choice. she thought as she walked away from the den. She didn't mind Bramblefire, but she didn't really believe in having a mate chosen for her. It seemed unnatural. She looked around the camp, wondering what she should be doing. She noticed the deputy and leader talking. She saw Dappledheart's eyes fall on her, and she flinched a bit. Anxiety wore at her a bit, and she decided to ask for something to do. She padded forward and dipped her head respectfully to the leader. "Ashstar, I'm sorry to inturrupt," she spoke in a humble but confident tone. "Is there anything that you need help with? I must have overslept and missed patrols this morning," she meowed. Maybe I could offer to help take his apprentice on a training session to give him some free time? she thought.

She listened her mentor not saying much as he seemed to be very out of control right now "Yeah I am, but I don't mind to hunt something" she meowed flicking his ears as she looekd at her mentor then toward his mate "Actually I don't mind if we try that think too..." she meowed silently.

She looked toward the Snowpaw, giving her a small nod, then turend to wait Smoketail to make his call as a patrol leader to order them to leave the camp. She knowed that most cats who are choised as a lead the patrol, hates if someone else to do think without telling to them.

She waited for a moment, before started her walk toward the forest, her eyes looking back at her so the other was being following her "Dappledheart wanter our to take the eastest border right?" she meowed questioining the other cats flicking her tail as she looked the forest. She flicked her ears toward her apprentice "Yes if you want to continue your training, we can do that after this patrol" she meowed softy not wanting the younger she-cat to see how dissapointed she was for herself as a mentor and for her apprentice who is still apprentice as a 16 moons old.

"Pity isn't it?" she asked thought by the tone of her voice it was clear she didn't seem to mind as much anymore. Though she wasn't quite sure how she felt about the assigned mates or about being Rabbitleap's mate she did find him great fun to be around. If she had to be stuck with anyone she couldn't complain that it was Rabbitleap. At least she'd never be bored.

Sootnose nodded in agreement, glancing behind them to make sure the rest of the cats were coming before she looked back at Hazelmoon. "Same here, though i've been doing the dusk patrols.. Haven't seen any loner or anything." she said softly. She looked over at Limeleaf, pricking her ears slightly, she wasn't quite sure where Dappledheart had wanted them to go so she remained silent. "I'm sure we'll get plenty of prey where ever we decide to go." she offered up instead, flashing a small smile.

Shadowstep shook his head "He won't be mad at us, if there's any reason to be mad its that Tigerlily went wandering off without us. He said Smoketail was leading it not Tigerlily." he said lashing his tail in irritation. Flattening his ears Shadowstep glanced away, he was trying his best not to get into one of his moods. He sighed and looked towards the camp entrance, at least the rest of the patrol was here and all together. At the very least they could just do the patrol like they were suppose to, minus two cats of course.

Rainypaw snorted "I don't know if I believe that.. You're so wise Sunfeather.. I heard that you knew all the herbs right away." she said. Of course you couldn't always believe everything you heard in a small clan.. That did seem like it could possibly be true. Sunfeather had always seemed very sure of himself whenever she'd seen him make any sort of decision. Though.. that hadn't been much. She had only been an apprentice four moons and not much had really happened during that time. She moved towards the camp entrance falling silent as she tried to commit what he'd just told her to memory. Soothing throats..
curing wounds and poisonings... could anyone ever even get poisoned?? ... stop greencough.. she thought to herself.

Stormypaw fell silent, sneaking a small glance back towards the apprentice's den. He didn't want a mate, he wanted it to just be him and his sisters, free to do whatever it was that warriors and medicine cats do. Without having to worry about someone else "Hopefully." he echoed his mentor, looking at the rest of the hunting patrol. He glanced over at the other apprentices but stuck close to Lionfang. He didn't mind Nightpaw, he was closer in age to him than Cinderpaw was and he didn't really know her all that well.

Maplefeather woke softly, the soft morning breeze sending a chill through her ginger fur. She got up slowly stretching her cramped legs. Walking out of the den she noticed she'd woken up late. Most Warriors were up or already on patrol. It was early in the day yet she could feel the tension resting in the camp. Few warriors favored having assigned mates, and it took a toll on clan life. Strolling over to a patch of grass Maplefeather settled down to bathe herself. She figured she would go out on her own soon to find some more prey for the fresh kill pile.

Lightpaw trotted out of the Apprentice den eager to begin training. He glanced around at the other cats noticing Bramblefire speaking to Sandbreeze. I wonder if they are starting a patrol. He began to walk over before deciding that it would probably be best to wait and see what his mentor had in store for him today. He reluctantly padded away to a patch of sun waiting for his mentor.

Oakpaw stood at the entrance of the den, the sunlight dancing on his pelt turning it golden. He noticed his brother sitting patiently observing the clan and chuckled lightly to himself. His brother was never great at sitting still. Oakpaw's stomach growled urging him to the fresh kill pile. Plucking a mouse from the pile Oakpaw settled in contemplating what the day would bring.

Rosepaw stood up, getting sort of antsy to go hunting
"Hm? I don't mind her looking for herbs while we're hunting"

Bramblefire sat up with a yawn.
"Morning, Sandbreeze! Any Plans for today?" He asked the she-cat, "I was going to go hunting today, would Burningsun and you care to join me?"

"No, I don't have any plans. I mean, if I did I wouldn't be sitting here doing just about nothing" Sandbreeze thought about the question for awhile. "Sure! I'll go find him"

Burningsun trotted back into camp with a small mouse clamped in his white jaws. He approached the pile and placed his catch on it. Burningsun looked at the pile and sighed. His mouse looked like nothing with all of the other plump squirrels and rabbits. Oh well.
It's prey nonetheless. He thought, shrugging it off before padding over to lie in the sun in front of the warriors den. Burningsun's bright orange eyes glowed in the warm, white light.

Sandbreeze approaches the tom. "Hey! You want to go hunting with me and Bramblefire?"

Nightpaw sighed. Did no one know where the patrol was supposed to be going? It was just a hunting patrol, surely we could go almost anywhere around the territory. His tail twitched irritably. As long as the hunting patrol stayed away from where the border patrol was heading. It wouldn't be helpful to us if those on the border patrol scared away all of the prey. The tom snickered to himself. His eyes searched around the area in front of him, keeping alert for signs of any nearby prey.

"Maybe we'll find them on the patrol?" Smoketail said, flicking his tail in annoyance. Where'd the she-cat go, anyways? Smoketail got up and left the camp with his patrol that was a lot smaller than it was supposed to be. He headed towards the west border, still curious of the whereabouts of Tigerlily and Pebblepaw.
