Nightstripe looks at her. "Why isn't it?" He purrs, closing his eyes. Willowstep was so pretty, he found it hard to keep his eyes off her most of the time. But he began to feel sleepy beside her, and found it hard to keep his eyes open, especially after what had happened. He was exhausted.

Willowstep purred and stated, "it could be." Before drifting off to sleep.

Nightstripe responds with a deep purr, and gives her cheek a lick. The fire continued to spread, but the rain cloud from before had grown. Would it rain before the fire reached the camp? Nightstripe hoped so. He wanted them all to be safe... And Willowstep.
He rests his head on the ground, closing his eyes and falling asleep.

Willowstep's head shot upright when she felt a drop of ice-cool water land squarely between her ears. "Nightstripe! It's raining!" The fire was falling down around them.

"What are you mousebrains standing around for? Trying to get killed?" her den, a little rock cave was less flamable than then center of the camp and she tried to herd them over, "Nightstripe" she barked not really minding that it wasn't the best time to pick on him "How did you get that cut? You should have told me so I could dress it" and she put her most dissapointed look on her face, it was so fun to tease him. "It doesn't look to bad, should be fine, by the way, it was smart to try and see how the fire started" Wow, that was awkward, she just didn't want him to feel bad because it was obviouse he already did.

Nightstripe shuffles toward her den with Willowstep at his flank. His wound hurt and was making it hard to walk normally. But the icy rain felt pleasant on his aching muscles. "I was trying to escape, but a branch fell on me." Nightstripe mewed in an unreadable tone. He kept his head down. "It wasn't well thought out, I should've stayed here. I could've helped the clan evacuate." He spoke, half to the she-cat and half to himself.

Willowstripe purred. She sat down in the medicine den, cleaning Nightstripe's wound with long, gentle licks. "Mouse brain," she whispered. She wasn't going to let that go. Willowstep thought it was hilarious that he was trying to hide the pain he had felt when he had received the injury. Willowstep yawned, "Is it ok if Italy with Nightstripe tonight Sunfoot? I can keep an eye on him for you." To be honest, she just enjoyed feeling Nightstripe's heat from his warm, dark pelt, and she was quite lonely in the warriors' den.

Nightstripe purrs. It was warm in the medicine cat's den, and he was being taken care of. He lifts his head and gives Willowstep's cheek a lick. "Thank you." He murmurs. Sunfoot had given him poppy seeds to help with the pain, and he was feeling very sleepy. Nightstripe was warm beside Willowstep, and thoroughly enjoyed her company. He didn't want her to leave, and was glad when she offered to stay. He stretches his aching paws out on the smooth ground, and closes his eyes, purring.
