Shrewkit awoke with a huge yawn.
"Stoneheart?"
He asked sleepily. When there was no response, shrewkit turned his head and remembered. He almost sobbed at the thought of his dead parents. He tried curling back to sleep, but the pain was too much. He'd just have to get up. He picked his way out of the nest and into the clearing, noticing cats around the apprentices den. Their expressions grim, and faces worried made Shrewkit realize what was wrong. Not again! The murderer was exiled. The usually quiet kit began to wail, and wouldn't stop. What was happening to RiverClan? Would they all be picked of one by one?

Nettlesplash turned abruptly as she heard a cry and shuffling paw steps to see Pondberry trudging shakily to the leaders den. Her heart dropped to her feet. "Did we exile the wrong cat?" She whispered with a choked voice. She poked her head in "What happened?" She asked, hardly keeping tears back. She loved all her clanmates, and would never want a single bad thing to happen to any of them, no matter who.
