Once the long-furred she-cat was sure Shardpaw was good to go, Furia began to slowly shuffle in the direction of camp.

Shardpaw followed, leaning on her shoulder. But once he got into camp, and stood upright. "I think I can make it to the medicine den." He mewed

Furia gazed at Shardpaw uneasily, but nodded. "Alright. But try not to trip over your paws again, 'kay?" With a slight, teasing smirk, the apprentice trotted towards the edge of camp but stayed where she could watch her denmate enter the medicine cat's den.

Shardpaw made his way to the medicine cat den on trembling steps. "Greypaw? Applewhisker?" He called into the den. But only Fallensky replied. "What do you want?" She growled. Shardpaw poked his head into the den. "Well, I hit my head and-" He notice Snowpelt. "What happened?" He asked. Fallensky put her head on Snowpelt's body. "None of your business." Fallensky replied sharply.

Crystalkit & Shadowkit

The two kits head whipped around in Shardpaw's direction. "Snowpelt went to visit Skyclan, then they got in a fight with Darkstorm and Leafstar!" Crystalkit blurted out, guilt making her fur bristle. Shadowkit nodded rapidly, then turned his back to the tom. His sister did the same, walking over to the next herb: Borage leaves.

"I'll try a little later after I memorize it, I don't want to mess up and give him the wrong herb.."

Crystalkit, Snowpelt & Shadowkit

"My other sister, Ivyleaf, was a medicine cat. She knew about herbs, and I think that those two might be the things I need." Snowpelt groaned, lifting his head but then dropping it on the ground again. The poor tom, he felt so weak and useless. Shadowkit cocked his head. Wasn't our mother's sister, aunt Starksong, Ivyleaf's friend? Starksong told us about Ivyleaf... he thought strangely. Crystalkit made a swish of her tail, making her brother snap out of his mind and spin around to face her. "This is called borage leaves. When I accidentally put my tail over Snowpelt's head, it seemed quite hot. A fever from the wound infections, maybe. Anyway, this is used for fevers. So, he has to eat it to bring down the heat. BUT. Its also used for nursing queens when they run out of milk. It produces more, better and healthier milk for the kits. Our mother died when we were born, so Hawkeye fed us that. She adopted us and had her own kits. They were our best friends. Acornkit, Sunkit, Pinekit and Owlkit."

Fallensky nuzzled Snowpelt. Then looked up. "Yeah, he's definitely go a fever. Borage should help." She mewed, struggling to keep calm.
