Fawnleap realized how intimidated the smaller cat was by Mossleap and her and relaxed slightly. However, this loner was far too young to be traveling on his own. "Okay, uh, my name is Fawnleap. I just have a few questions for you," she mewed softly in an attempt to calm the tom down. "First of all, who are you and are you here with anyone else?" There was no way in StarClan that she was going to allow for a rogue invasion on DesertClan territory. Turning to Mossleap, she whispered, "If this loner is on his own, I don't want to just send him off. He's so small, he might get himself into trouble!" Fawnleap could be a bit soft when it came to kits and apprentices.

Sandystrike sat by the oasis with Rattlestorm, purring in amusement as the tom tilted his head back and forth before suddenly leaping at something in the water with a splash. She laughed lightly and asked, "What'd you see, Rattle?"
"Ca'rt 't!" he mumbled around a beetle, letting it go and bouncing after it as it flew off, only to stumble over his own paws. Rattlestorm blinked for a moment before purring and hopping up, shakily stepping over to Sandystrike. "I caught it," he stated matter-of-factly, though the beetle had escaped anyway.
Sandystrike laughed softly and nodded. "I can see that," she purred, playfully batting the tom's ear. "Nice strategy."

Whole pelt feeling as though it were on fire from the heat and burns on his skin, Pearly mewled miserably as he searched for water. His throat felt dry as the sand beneath his paws, eyes watering though barely in his dehydration. He had managed to catch a lizard, carrying the limp, half-eaten animal in his mouth, but hated the scaly, bitter taste. He much preferred plump, sweet mice, but knew there were little to none out here. The white cat stumbled and eventually scented many more cats, and something else. Finally realizing the scent was fish blood, he perked up. However, the scents of many cats was a daunting factor, making him hesitate.

Scorchstar chuckled in spite of himself, and he meowed, swishing his tail, "Don't worry, I will.. And... thanks. I know I'm not the finest leader but I try my best." He flicked one of his oversized ears and meowed, "As for a patrol for you and Blazepaw.." He turned away from the silver and white tabby and faced Fuzzytail, who was eating her eagle behind them. "Fuzzytail. Could you lead a border patrol for me? Take Quailfeather, Halfpaw, and Blazepaw with you." He hesitated, "Loop around the Big Rock and then go to the Falls, please. No one's taken that route for a while."

"I guess that does make me your apprentice." Noeyes got to her paws with some effort, giggling lightly as she did so, and bowed before Foxfoot, playfully swishing her tail from side to side. "All hail Foxfoot, the mightiest mentor in the land!" The elderly Russian blue crowed gleefully.

The dark tabby brute snorted, getting to his massive feet and lashing his tail once or twice, but not in a threatening way. He meowed, teasing, "My, how lazy of you.. I was going out on a hunt - care to join me?" He grinned, tossing his troublemaker smile her way, "I could use a hunting partner.. especially one has pretty as you."

{As for Flarepaw, she's currently outside the camp and wants to pull some dangerous stunts. Anyone wanna join her?}

➳Thinking over the offer the warrior had given her, Hailpaw felt her pelt heat up in embarrassment as he added the last comment. Averting her eyes she knew he wasn't serious, but she did need to hunt for her clan so she nodded to him, "I don't think Mossleap would mind." She told him, finally answering his question. Though the tortie wasn't sure she wanted to go hunting with Hawkcry. She really only talked to one cat in the clan and that's only because Mossleap was her mentor and if Hailpaw wanted to become a warrior than she needed to communicate with the expired warrior; however, the apprentice was beginning to see that maybe talking wouldn't be too bad.

"Excellent." Hawkcry meowed, padding towards the camp exit and scuffing up dust particles beneath his paws. He paused once they'd exited the Oasis and were on the Wastelands, calling over his rippling shoulder at the tortie, "Where would you like to go? A lot of cats have been sent to the Falls today.. should we just wander about and see what there is out there?" He flicked his head towards the vast, open desert. It was dotted with bushes, and the occasional spindly tree - perfect cover for lizards, mice, and shrews.

Batpaw finished combing the moss; he then tucked it beneath his chin and padded into the elder's den. Sniffing the air, he noted the stale smell of Finchwing, Noeeyes and Foxfoot. So someone kept her company and remembered to bring her a meal. She'll be chipper when she returns. Whiskers twitching, Batpaw dropped the fresh moss at the far side of the den. The blind tom then gathered up the old bedding and rolled it up into a neat pile, rolling it just outside the entrance. Spreading out the fresh moss, Batpaw then exited the den and grabbed the old roll, only to realize it was blistering outside. A soft sigh escaped his maw. I should have went sparring, then cleaned the den once it got hot.

Pushing the thought away for it was to late to act upon it, the ebony tom carried the moss outside of the camp and dropped it off. I'll take it farther away later. Slinking back into camp, he weaved into the shadows to avoid detection. Pricking his namesake ears, he heard a patrol announced, but his name was not on it. Time for that spar match... but at the moment, Batpaw felt exhausted. So he padded back to the Oasis and lapped at some water once more, loathing the fact that he had to have the worst colored fur possible for the desert.

I lift my head, smelling cat scent. I silently stalk over to the smell, and pounce. I end up takleing a cat, rolling a few times, before stopping. I'm looking down onto a cat with two different colored eyes. "Who are you?!" I meow.
