Larkpaw was a little surprised when Jackdawpaw leaned in to brush his muzzle down his neck, but he grinned and replied, "But Jackdawpaw, your belly fur is softer than the clouds in the sky, I don't see how any of my fur could challenge that."

He padded back towards the twolegplace, but took a turn as he could no longer see Jack and started sprinting back to the border, hopping over it and hiding in a bush.
