({So far most of the cats have evacuated the camp that just flooded and it is still pouring down rain. Mokustar is talking to Emberpelt. Amberheart was carried away by the flood while she was helping Moonpaw. Creeksong has found Fawn and is in a fight with him. I'm pretty sure that I have Moonpaw and Flarepaw open.})

Fawn

Fawn growled as a pain hit his face, but it was moderate. He hissed and swiped at the she-cats face and advancing her and retreating each time. He smiled as he felt his deadly claws a couple of times. The tom snarled and exposed his sharp teeth, trying to be intimidating.

The she-cat hissed as the tom swiped at her face blood was coming from a cut on her face. Shadowheart taught me the Leap And Hold for cats that are smaller than their opponent to use. I'll try knocking him off balance first. The grey and white she-cat leapt at the tom and smacked her paws into his side. After the impact she stumbled a pawstep or two back and felt winded. She was too busy trying to catch her breath to see if her strategy worked or not.

The tom nodded in agreement with the she-cat. ''Have you seen where Amberheart is? We need to start discussing what we're going to do.''

Fawn

Fawn gasped as he was knocked sideways but not too much, causing him to lose his breath and struggling to re find his footing.The tom panted and looked over at the she-cat and saw how exhausted the she cat was. She aleady had enough on her shoulders and being wounded. His better judgment caught up to him and he didn't try anything else. He simply put his head down and said, "There is elevated land a couple fox lengths north from here." He said quietly, watching the water curve around his ankles. Then he lifted his eyes to the cat. "Your cats should be safe there."

She looked at the frightened leader "No sir I haven't."

The leader frowned as the water started flooding the land that they thought would hold them safely. ''I'm going to go see if anyone has seen Amberheart and check to see which cats are with us.'' The tom started padded over to the group of apprentices and warriors. The red tom frowned as he saw Creeksong fighting with a rogue. ''Stop this immediately. What's going on and where is the deputy?'' Mokustar sat a few tail lengths away from all of the other cats.

The grey and white she-cat straightened as soon as she heard the rogue speak. We don't need you pity or your help. ''Why should we trust you?'' She had paw paw raised to swipe at the tom again, but she heard Mokustar come over. When she turned around he was giving her a look of disapproval. ''What? I was trying to get a rogue off of our territory.'' The she-cat glared at the leader and turned her glare back at Fawn for a few seconds. The she frowned as she realized that she would have to tell him about what had happened to Amberheart. Her eyes were cast to the ground as she half explained and half mumbled about what happened. ''She was trying to help an apprentice out of the flood and she got washed away. I tried to get over there in time. But I didn't.''

"Do you really have another choice?" The tom hissed and straightened up, and then saw the larger cat approach. He flattened his ears against his head and looked up at the cat, who he assumed was the leader. The respect the she-cat seemed to give him was a dead give away. He swallowed and said, "I..It was merely a suggestion.

The tom was filled with yet more grief at the news of his lost deputy. I'm going to have to pick a new deputy later. His ears were flattened against his head and he spoke very quietly. ''We will have to go somewhere else that is higher since our camp is being flooded.'' He looked at the grey and white she-cat. ''It wasn't a very good idea to fight with the rogue for no reason. I assume that you don't trust him?'' He didn't wait for her reply because he already knew what it would be. ''Very well. We will have this rogue take us to land that is elevated since he says that he knows where he is going. Creeksong, since you don't trust the rogue you'll be assigned to watch him and make sure that he doesn't do anything suspicious.'' He turned towards the tom. He felt exhausted and just needed a place for his clan to rest. ''Lead the way.''

Creeksong tried to protest many times as the leader spoke. He's punishing me for fighting with a rogue? Or he's punishing me for not being able to help Amberheart? She frowned as he turned towards the rogue and told him to take the lead. ''But why are we listening to a rogue?'' After a few seconds she turned around towards the other cats. ''Everyone hurry! We're finding somewhere to rest!'' She heard the splashing of paws every time a cat took a step.

Lionpaw looked towards Sunpaw. ''Can you believe all of this happened in one day? Who will be the next deputy?''

Fawn dipped his head to the leader gratefully and began north. He could feel the eyes of the clan cats in his pelt, and that made him nervous. He swallowed and took a couple breaths and tried to keep a fast pace.

The grey and white she-cat followed after the rogue, having to run to catch up to him. ''This had better not be a trick.'' The she-cat's paws were splashing in the water as she kept a fast pace. Her ears were flattened against her head to keep out the rain and her rain soaked tail was trailing after her. ''You're still going to have to leave after you lead us there. Even if you weren't lying.'' The she-cat noticed that it was already getting very dark. Mokustar wouldn't make a rogue a clan cat. Would he? She thought of the Darkforest as she looked around. It's cold, misty, and dark.
