The patch furred Leader leapt down from the log, racing up to the Elder.
"What do you mean?" She asked, her voice hushed. Waiting for Poppystem to catch her breath, she looked back and fourth from Tumblebrush to Swiftspirit, and back to the old she-cat. Finally, she spit out a sentence. Her voice was raspy and came out in a whisper.
"His throat was torn straight out." She wheezed, causing Redstar's eyes to widen. She stood there for a moment, shocked, and then finally took a step back. Her gaze landed on Thinpelt and Mintpaw, the nearest medicine cats. (since no one has played armadillotumble yet)
"Check her for wounds." She commanded, leaping back up to the Leader's perch. She was angry now, her voice bellowed through the clearing and her eyes blurred with what was almost tears.
"The Emberclan Deputy is dead. This meeting is over." Her gaze turned to Shorestar. "I will deal with your trespassing cats and prey stealing apprentices later," she hissed. At her last few words, dark clouds began to cover the moon and a roll of thunder cracked above.

The Sunclan Deputy lurched forward and hissed in return to Redstar's threat, only to duck his head as Starclan made it clear that they were unhappy with the arrival of several storm clouds. He searched the crowd for Tigerclaw, meeting with her and waiting to hear what the Leaders had to say. Though he could see his littermate attempting to control her temper, it was clear that Redstar's accusations had annoyed her too, for her fur was on end and her hackles were raised as she stood.

Rainpaw

Rainpaw leapt over a fluffy brown apprentice and bounded over to Lichenfoot as the thunder crackled.
"What's going on?" He panicked, eyes darting around wildly and feeling his face grow hot from Redstar's reference to his squabble with the Emberclan hunting patrol.

Tallstorm rushed over to where a few of his clan mates sat as things began to heat up. He spotted Flickergaze and stood near her and Tinypaw, straightening up and raising his meow over the others as the clouds rolled in.
"This is a warning! Starclan is angry! This is supposed to be a night of truce!" He reminded the hostile cats angrily, shooting Ravenclaw and Tigerclaw glares.

Krestlenose lashed his tail, he narrowed his eyes and watched the Sunclan cats prepare to leave. The Emberclan warrior bit back a growl and stood up. He approached the other Emberclan warriors. "I don't think it would be wise to stay any longer." He mewed to his fellow warriors.

Flickergaze;;
"Stop trying to cause a stir you mousebrain!" The shecat spat in anger before standing up and nudging Tinypaw. "Come on, we need to get back to camp." The Sunclan warrior wrapped her tail protectively around her brother.

Tinypaw;;
Tinypaw shuddered in fear at the pang of thunder. He gasped and moved closer to his sister. "Okay.." He felt ashamed, unlike the other apprentices he was still behaving like a kit.

Wolfpaw;;
Wolfpaw stood up and stretched his pale tabby legs. "Time to go I guess, you ready Pipitpaw?" The tom asked the other Emberclan apprentice.

Mintpaw nodded obediently and padded towards Poppystem " im going to check you for wounds.." she meowed to the elder with a gentle tone as she neared her. She felt the fur along her back rise as she heard her leader announce that Flameheart was dead, who would do such a thing? she tought bitterly as she searched through the elders fur for any signs of injuries. She came across a small scratch, but she seemed to be okay. I'll give her some thyme or lavender to help her with the shock, and a bit of dock and marigold to help the scratch when we get back to camp she thought as she stepped back from the elder and glanced up at her leader

Shorestar growled as Redstar bossed her medicine cat around. Thinpelt can see when a cat needs to be checked on his own. The SunClan leader lashed her tail back and forth, her fur ruffled, as Redstar approached her again. "We'll see." she hissed back before standing straight and raising her tail. "SunClan, we're leaving!" Shorestar leaped to the ground and made her way to their entrance of the clearing as thunder rumbled overhead, gathering her cats on the way.

Fogslip got to her paws as Shorestar passed and slipped silently through the crowd of cats, careful not to touch anyone. She stopped when Storestar did and stood quietly beside her leader, waiting for their clan mates to follow. She allowed herself to be calm despite the thunder and sudden clouds. Never had Fogslip believed in StarClan, but it seemed the other cats in the clearing blamed the storm on their ancestors.

Tumblebrush helped lower Poppystem to the ground. Her legs were shaking and she seemed to be in shock. "Easy, mother." He licked her ears soothingly as she once did to him as a kit, sitting beside her."Swiftspirit, we'll probably have to help her walk back to camp" the fluffy tom's eyes were full of worry over the elder and also shock over what had happened to the deputy. How could Flameheart's throat have been ripped out with him safe in camp? Poppystem and Armadillotumble were the only cats that stayed in camp that night. Had someone snuck in and killed him?

Pipitpaw chuckled at the comment about the apprentices mom having to save him before glaring at Foxpaw. "This is none of your business." He hissed at her before thunder crackled overhead. Pipitpaw startled slightly before reprimanding himself, hearing Frozenpool's voice in his head telling him to be prepared for the unexpected. Turning back as Wolfpaw spoke, he meowed. "Yeah, guess I have to be."

((@zoo; the Clans are at a gathering and Poppystem the elder came to tell them Flameheart died, who is still at camp. Redstar wanted Mintpaw to check Poppystem for wounds because she's covered in Flameheart's blood. Hope that helped?))

Swiftspirit nodded and bent down to lick the elders ruffled fur behind the ears, hoping to comfort her in some way. It was unfair on the clan, and most importantly this frail old cat, to have to go through such trauma. Why would Starclan do this to them, and more importantly, to Flameheart? The deceased elder had done nothing but serve his clan well - he'd kept them well-fed throughout leaf-bare, and fought many a battle in order to protect them. It seemed like a punishment, but for what?

Lichenfoot turned to face Rainpaw. "Starclan must be angry," she began. "Flameheart - you remember him, he used to train with us? - he's a traitor. Starclan knows that it is for the best that cats train with us, and then when we are strong enough... well, I'll explain that tonight," Lichenfoot had to below over the increasing noise of the thunder and the down-pour that was beginning to fall. "Flameheart betrayed us, Rainpaw, he betrayed his clan. He was going to tell them of the dark forest, and they weren't ready. They would have destroyed us. Do you understand?"
