Fervent took a deep breath as he came to the clearings edge... "Careers" he thought to himself as he saw two of the other JMDs guarding the cornucopia. Half anger and fear ran threw his fur as his blazing jewel grew brighter "Let the games begin" he whispered to himself. Launching out of the woods like a bullet he set the clearing ablaze for cover. Blue and white flames streaked the ground as grey smoke rose.

Artemis jumped onto Zumo and pined him to the ground covering his mouth with a paw. "Shut up now. You should know I'm okay leaving this arena without you if it comes to that."

He laughed in relief. Hurry! Into the woods! he yelled Hurry or we are both going to die! he said, shaking in terror.

Tonic pulled the handle which had been poking out of his bag. Out came the platinum sword, just like the one he had been trained with in the Capital. "We need to take out some competition"

SteamPunk stopped carefully following her partner, and broke out into a run as soon as Fervent crossed the outer border of the Corni's clearing. She came to halt, spraying debris everywhere as she did so. SteamPunk cursed under her breath. He had lied to her, and he was now dashing out into a clear area. She couldn't bring someone back from the dead, only heal!
