"Well, warriors who have an apprentice are most likely to become a Deputy since it's the warrior code" Darkstar replied.Before he became a Deputy, his apprentice had been a tom called Crowpaw.But Crowpaw was killed in a fight with another apprentice the night before his warrior ceremony.The other apprentice had been exciled, but Darkstar couldn't help but think it was his fault.

Her thoughts was filled with warrior names and dreams about becoming a leader.

Darkstar chuckled as he listened to the apprentice."Calm down Twilightpaw!" he chuckled."Tell you what, I'll let you go and get something to eat from the kill-pile" he mewed, a friendly smile flicking across his muzzle.

She found herself a mouse and sat down.

Darkstar watched as the apprentice padded away, sighing a little.He got up and walked around the high-rock, lying down at the base.He watched the clan with a sigh, watching as Owlkit, Stormkit and Whisperkit played by the nursery.

Whisperkit watched Stormkit wearily, waiting for him to pounce.Suddenly the she-kit was knocked over by Owlkit who had pounced from behind.Whisperkit laughed and tried pushing his off, Stormkit helping.Eventually the two managed to pin Owlkit down."Alright, you win!" laughed Owlkit as the two jumped off him.

"Good morning OwlKit, StormKit, WhisperingKit" he said softly.
