"Come on," he whispered. "Can we just forget this ever happened?" he asked.

Dovestar smiled. "No, you're okay. I knew you wouldn't understand."

Moonblaze swiped a paw at him. "Just leave me alone!"

Marspaw nodded. "Who was your mentor when you were an apprentice?" she asked, her eyes staring at her leader.

"Adderberry," she replied.

Cometstar sighed. "Alright. I'll be at camp," he lied. When I'm really going to follow you, he thought. To make it look like he was going, he headed off in the direction of camp, but when she wasn't looking, he jumped up a tree and started to follow her.

Marspaw's eyes went wide. "Ohh!"

Moonblaze scented her mate. "Go away!" she snarled at him. She bounded off far into the woods, not stopping.

"Alright," he whispered.

She smiled. "And want to know who the leader was then?"

Marspaw nodded, her amber eyes wide.

Moonblaze hissed and stopped, gasping for breath. She was bleeding.

"Well, the leader was Nightstar." she said.

Cometstar wasn't even close to camp. He heard her. She-cats, he thought. "Moonblaze!" he yowled. "I told you! We needed to go back to camp!"

Marspaw nodded. "How do you know all this? Who was your mother?Who was your father?"

Moonblaze growled. "I dont care!" she hissed. Oh, Starclan. Toms can be as pesky as rats sometimes! she thought, her eyes narrowed.

"Let's go," he commanded. "And I'm not moving until you get up and come with me!"
