Sunspot
"I think I started liking, no, loving you a bite before the camp was destroyed. I always admired how you became a warrior despite your balance problems and I guess... I didn't realize I liked you as more of a friend until after we went to the twoleg den and I thought about how the clan was ready to leave me but you refused to. You saved my life. And after a bit of thinking I realized that I loved you. But then I was injured further and couldn't move to save my life. Literally," Sunspot sighed, remembering how useless he had been before Mousekit brought him back to life. "You're such a great cat. You're nice, caring, and you don't judge anyone. You didn't care I was injured. You didn't care I was holding the clan back. You care about me for me and that's why I love you." He finished his passionate speech, then looked away bashfully. He had just poured his heart out and couldn't believe he had been able to do that.
Leapingfire
"That's a wonderful start," he said. "I'm sure you would be a great member. Im personally looking forward to the day I get an apprentice. Maybe one of Rosefur's kits. Well, any kit would be great. Can I join you when you take him out training? It'd be great to see how another cat trains their apprentice. I might be able to learn a thing or two from you." Leapingfire nodded thoughtfully, even though he knew Lightheart hadn't had an apprentice before. And it wouldn't hurt if he tagged along to cheer Lightheart's apprentice on, right?

Bumblestep's expression remained rairly unchanged during Sunspot's speech. He wore the same confused, yet curious, look on his face right up to the end. But he could feel his emotions adjust to the situation. He grew uncharacteristically nervous and almost felt like he was about to throw up because of the butterflies in his stomach. Was that a good thing? It had to be because he didn't actually want the feeling to go away. It wasn't something he would feel comfortable with labeling as love but it was definitely something. "Uh..." When he tried to speak no words seemed to want to come out of his mouth. His mind was running a blank. This was something incredibly rare for the talkative tom. "I, um, thank you? No thats not right..." He continued to struggle to find the right thing to say in this situation.
"Sure." Lightheart said, "I'm not really sure how to even start training with him. I guess just show him around. It will feel weird to show him a territory that isn't really ours though. Especially because we are supposed to go moving someplace else soon and he'll have to learn new land all over again." He didn't mind Leapingfire's request to join their future training session. The younger warrior didn't seem particularly judgmental the way he feared the rest of the clan. With anyone else he might have denied that request out of worry that they would only want to come along to judge him on his skills as a mentor.

He opened his mouth to protest but turned away guiltily. "I know," he said quietly, returning to grooming Palepaw. Why did he just let him walk off? He was so mousebrained. "I shouldn't have adopted him. He would've been better off without me."
"Thats not true." Speckleflame purred. "Do you want to see what actual kits look like?" She asked Palepaw, smiling.
