Spiritstar sighed, and decided to go hunting at night

She touched her nose to Thornblaze's paw, then fell asleep.

Cinderkit yawned. "I'm going to go back to sleep." she told her.

Spiritstar made her way out of camp, ears perked and claws unsheathed. She tread along in the snow, leaving deep paw prints in the powdered surface. She heard no chirping of crickets, as she did in greenleaf, but the silence of the icy leafbare crept up on her, she stayed alert. A wind blew past, ruffling her dark-colored fur, and her bright green eyes shone through the darkness of night. No scent of prey was coming to Spiritstar's senses, but she searched anyways. She traveled across NightClan territory, and weaved around the dark trees, easily making her way to the bank. She began to pad along the icy shore of the lake. Another wind blew across, blowing her fur in the direction towards the forest. She stayed along the path, forgetting of her alertness to everything around her. She kept along the lake shore, then as she ended at LeafClan, she turned, and made her way up the forest, where more wind was awaiting to blow in her face. Paw prints formed in the snow once more, making deep holes in the ground, suddenly, a sharp pain interrupted her, swiping into her neck. Spiritstar yowled, and kicked it off with her hind legs.

Shard hissed, blood lined his paws, leaving the snow covered with the scarlet liquid, he was knocked backwards into a tree, conking his head on the bark, making a cracking noise, he got to his paws. He bared his fangs, and leaped, clawing into her side, knocking her over and pinning her in the cold snow

Spiritstar hissed, and bit into his neck, making another crack, she latched her teeth into his scruff, shaking violently as Shard was thrown off balance, then thrown backwards onto his back, belly exposed

Shard growled, and clawed into her neck, leaving deep claw-marks, blood dripped from Spiritstar neck. Shard fell to the ground, eyes wide in shock from Spiritstar's fight. "This is... not over..." he gasped out, eyes half open

Spiritstar fell to her side, a strong gust of wind whistling as she lay on the ground in a pool of blood, that lay upon the snow. Her eyes stayed half open as well

Shard lay against the surface of a tree, "I... will not give up without... a good fight!!"
