"I wanna climb too!" Cobrakit squealed, scrambling up the log.

Copperkit turned around and gently grabbed onto Cobrakit's scruff, helping her up before surveying the ground. "C'mon let's climb up here." He mewed pointing to an old stump. Without waiting for an answer Copperkit wriggled his haunches and leapt dead center on it. He let out a triumphant merow when suddenly the stump's center crumbled uder his paws and down he went with a startled yelp.

"Cop!" Cobrakit exclaimed watching in shock as Copperkit fell down the hole. "Are you alright?!" she cried.

Copperkit groaned for a moment, before peering up at Cobrakit. "Y-yeah I-i think so." He mewed blinking his large yellow-green eyes.

"M-Maybe we shouldn't be out... it's starting to get late..." Cobrakit imagined the scolding Mouseflight and Spiritstar would give her if she was caught outside of camp.

"Everything. Lately everything's been falling apart. I just wish I could do something about it." Squirrelpaw whispered, staring off into the forest.

Fernheart struggled to contain her disappointment. She had been hoping to attend the gathering. She wanted to see Shinekit, and maybe Bluekit would be there too! But most of all, she wanted to talk to Scorpiondance.
