Dustkit let out a purr as Poppykit bumped her head with his own, and gently bumped him back. When Falconkit batted the mossball back over to her, she paused to think who she should bat it to next, only to let out a small squeak when she noticed Robinwind and Lighttail had entered the den and crawled away to her mother. The fun game now forgotten, she buried her face in Creamflower's fur.

It had been a little while, and Hazepaw still hadn't returned. Sunflare frowned. "I'm going to go check on him," he murmured, standing up and making his way to the dirtplace. Hazepaw's scent was fresh, implying he'd just been there, but the apprentice was no where to be found. He made sure to thoroughly check the surrounding area before returning to the group. "He's not there," he reported, a hint of concern in his voice. "He was there though. I didn't follow his scent trail, but I think it leads out further into the territory."

Her sights set on catching the plumpest prey around, Splashfeather was disheartened when the first thing she came across after searching for a while was a small vole, little more than skin and bones. But prey was prey, and what was more important than beating Jackdawpaw was feeding the clan, even if it wasn't much. She had only managed to catch one other thing by the time she met back up with Jackdawpaw; a decent-sized robin, bigger than the vole for sure, and perhaps even plump by leaf-bare standards. Still, it was far from her most impressive catch. When she spotted the familiar black pelt of her former denmate, she trotted up to him and dropped her two catches in front of him. "It's not my best work, but it's better than yesterday," she admitted. "What did you get?"

Riverstripe had stayed silent for the most part, but now he felt the need to defend his leader. "You still don't go trespassing on another clan's territory without permission from your leader," he told Lostnight, his tone calm but firm. "We were all worried about Bearpaw, but we can't be reckless. Crossing into EagleClan territory could have led to a fight and more cats getting hurt--not to mention it's leaf-bare. EagleClan is going to be more defensive than ever if they think we've come to steal prey."

"What?" The question had caught Southstar off guard, and he turned to Daydream with a curious look. "How about me?" he echoed.

Littleflower blinked at Mistflower's words, and for a moment she stood there, unsure what to do. Of course she wanted to be there for Swiftbadger, and she didn't want to come off as strange or uncaring for insisting that Mistflower go instead of her. But at the same time, she could see now that Mistflower did want to be there by him. It won't hurt, right? Setting down her prey, she meowed, "Actually, I was going to see if Oatleaf had eaten yet. You go, okay?" She nodded encouragingly at her friend before picking up the cardinal she'd caught and padding over to Oatleaf. Dropping it at the elder's paws, she dipped her head respectfully. "Hello, Oatleaf. Are you hungry?"

Nightwish nodded and waved her tail to the other two cats before turning and heading off with Russetswirl. "I wonder who Blazepaw's new mentor will be," she murmured as she padded alongside the older tom. Her thoughts went to her own apprentice--her very first, Gingerpaw, who was currently sick in the medicine cat's den, and she felt worry well up in her all over again. She had been trying not to focus on the sickness that had spread throughout Silversnow and Reedwhisker's entire family, but it was hard not to, especially when one of their kits was her apprentice.

Creamflower gently nudges Dustkit out of her fur and towards the other kits, an idea popping up. "Maybe the other kits can help you make new friends?" she suggested. "Maybe Stormkit, Falconkit, and Poppykit can help you overcome your fears with unknown cats?"

He looked at his leader. “You’re not getting any younger either. How have you been feeling? Have you considered taking a mate or even having an apprentice ever again? “ he asked. He already knew about the kits but he wouldn’t mention it.

He felt a pang of sympathy for the warrior, he couldn't imagine what it would be like to have a sick apprentice especially with how bad it has gotten. He was never really close to RustyPaw but they were still clanmates so he could only hope that him and the rest of his family would pull through "Alright let's go" He spoke and smiled softly at the she-cat.

The warrior managed to catch both a mouse and a squirrel despite how tired he had felt prior and he followed after TigerBlaze. He felt like he could fall over at any moment, as he was having trouble catching his breath but was trying his best to keep it quiet. He didn't need any of his clanmates worrying about him, he had enough time being treated like a kit when he was an actual kit and an apprentice.

The she-cat sat right outside of the camps entrance knowing that if something by chance did happen, she'd rather know about it before it was able to enter the camp where the kits and queens remained. She scanned around the area and watched Beestar and RiverStripe leave the camp. She didn't seem to have much interest in joining the conversation her apprentice was having with the two warriors.

"What was it like? Do you regret leaving to become a house cat? Being a clan cat sounds much more interesting than being a Kittypet" She questioned, she ended up ignoring the part of her having litters with multiple clan cats as a part of her found it odd that she felt the need to add that part and how pleased she seemed to be with that fact "Do you ever hope to go back to that life? I mean wouldn't you miss your kits who are still in the clan?"

Dustkit heard her mother's voice speaking to her, but she didn't understand the words she spoke and only buried her face deeper into her soft, sweet-smelling fur. After a moment, she crawled closer to queen's belly, looking to nurse again.

Once in camp, Tigerblaze set his sparrow on the fresh-kill pile but took the robin for himself. He had already hunted twice that day now, and by the time Beestar got back to camp, he doubted she would want him to eat anything if Blizzardclaw had told her what had happened--and Tigerblaze was sure he had. Settling at the edge of camp, he tore into his robin and devoured it in a few hungry bites before grooming his pelt.

(@Tainted, did you mean that Daydream knows about Southstar's kits? Because at the moment, nobody knows about any of the kits he's had except for the she-cats he's had them with. As far as his clanmates are concerned, he's never had a mate or kits. x] I realize Foxcloud basically told Daydream that the kits are not Deertail's but she never revealed the father, so Daydream wouldn't have any way of knowing that they're South's. ^^;)

Southstar shrugged. "Don't make me feel so old," he joked in an attempt to lighten the mood. "I still have a lot of life left--multiple lives, in fact. There will be plenty of time for those things. Right now, I just want to focus on being a good leader to my clan." His whiskers twitched thoughtfully. "It's different for you. There are plenty of able warriors that can train apprentices to fight and hunt--that's why I haven't felt the need to take on an apprentice for a while. But apart from Russetswirl, you're the only cat who can teach another to heal."

Lostnight was usually one of the calmer cats, but Riverstripe coming into the conversation where they were not welcome bothered him. This isn't your conversation. Who do you think you are? he almost snapped, but instead turned to the warrior with the least amount of anger he could muster. "We didn't cross far over the border. We were very close to our own side- and it was evident that we were not there to catch prey. Besides, no cats want a fight during leaf-bare- the most they would do is kick us off their land, and that's what they did. We weren't there for thieving or anything worse, and I believe they understood that." Maybe it was his past loner experience talking, but he believed he had done the right thing. What was the point of borders when a cat was in trouble?

"Oh, Hi Falconkit," The medicine cat purred as the kit came up to him. "How are you?" He frowned when the young tom sneezed though, worried that it was the early signs of a sickness. It was awfully cold today. "I have to check on Snowfur, can you wait over with Lighttail?" He asked, giving the kit a quick lick on the head. "Snowfur, how are you feeling?" He asked the queen.

Elmshade looked down at the ground as Riverstripe scolded them as well. "I know, I'm sorry." She repeated, ears flat on her head. She thought Lostnight defended them pretty well, and didn't add anything else past that. She as just glad that there hadn't been a fight, and that Bearpaw was okay.

Riverstripe, I'd like you to stay with them; we have plenty of warriors in camp already." Turning back to Elmshade, Winterpaw, and Lostnight, she said, "Hunt on our territory, preferably. Now, I've got kits to check on and warriors to speak with, so if you'll excuse me, I'll be heading back to camp." Her tail was kinking and the only thing on her mind was returning to camp and speaking with Tigerblaze about his actions. Her anger as mostly towards the warrior who had taken authority - but she also saw it as a lapse in judgement of the patrol for agreeing to go in the first place.
