Squirrelpaw hissed at him and stalked into the apprentice den ears flattened threateningly. "this isnt your fight."

"no. But it's both of our first gatherings. I don't want you spoiling it." he said, closing his eyes once more. "for me, or for sorrelkit. "

Squirrelpaw spat the name. "exactly . SorrelKIT."

Goldenpaw hissed. "i betcha just jealous that she gets to go as a kit."

"im not jealous, FERNSTAR is picking favorites and being unreasonable." Squirrelpaws voice soft with fury

Sorrelkit flattens her ears, trying to stop the hiss she knew was about to rise from her throat. This is exactly what I didn't want to happen. Her curled tail presses tight against her back, and her curled ears stand straight. She mews calmly to Squirrelpaw. "I understand you don't agree, but, in the end, it is Fernstar's decision. It doesn't say in the warrior code anywhere that new apprentices can't go to the Gatherings." She frowns. I can understand she's upset, but she doesn't have to make a scene during a clan meeting.
