Shadow was a little surprised when she licked his cheek, but other than raising his head, he doesn't really respond to it. "It's not that I don't want you to go," he assures her, "I think it is good for you to get out -- especially with recent events -- I just.." he draws an almost weary breath. "Cassiel and I don't get along." he concludes, a little meekly.

Cassiel gives a short nod in response to Storm's request, "Of course." he says, turning toward his den. "As to you," he adds, before he disappeared into the depths of his den, and then lay down. He was asleep before he could tell himself to relax, and he found himself wandering from one dream to another, searching for something to do, even in his sleep.

Tempest cannot help it, she grimaces. "Well you will see Alot more of him, he is my best friend." she tells him resolutely, The only one I can trust.. that part was in her mind. Some of it flickers across her face, the tenor of her thoughts. "And I do want pups..so you know. Its just that....nothing of this...went the way I planned...and you...I'm scared... " her eyes are on her stomache a long moment. When she tears her gaze away she cant meet his.

Shadow doesn't do or say anything negative in response to her declaration of friendship for the wolf that commanded the light, other than curling his tail. His gaze shifts to her as she spoke again, once again feeling guilty for having not told her sooner, but he waited patiently while she voiced her thoughts. The alpha furrows his brows slightly, but he sort of understands. "I know." he said, looking away once more. "It's always scary at first," the brute told her in a sort of reassuring manner, but he lays his head down on his paws again. "You should rest before your trip. Getting a good night's sleep will help in the long run," he tells her, closing silver eyes and breathing a sigh.

Tempest sighs, "One more thing, Promise not to spy." she tells him, "With Anyone or just your help." she wants a promise out of him. The pale he-wolf snuggles up yawning, wondering if she Should rebel against the Alpha's. Her eyes are dark as she curles up comfortably - would it really be so bad to have Shadow's pups? But he lied. Lied to her. She feels like she doesnt know him at all, like he was nothing more than a twisted fairy-tale thats been given to her.

The black-pelted alpha flicked an ear toward her at the request, and he almost doesn't respond. Almost. He spoke evenly and in an assuring tone, even though he was tired, when he said, "I promise." He was sincere about it, even if he didn't want to be. Her life was her business, even if they were mates, and she had a right to her privacy. After all, it was not his duty to keep a contant watch on her. Shadow sighed tiredly as he allowed himself to slip into unconsciousness, glad for the rest he could then have.

Myra shifted her position on a root, as she'd nearly slid and would have twisted a paw if she hadn't caught herself properly. "Yes," she responded to her statement about how she had choices. "Rage made the same choices I did -- he can shift into a human, as you've seen, and a deer. But he only made the choices after he'd seen mine." she told the alpha, giving a little shrug. "So, you don't know if your ability has limits," she mused, shifting her bat wings against herself. "That sounds nice. To have that sort of ability."

Tempest, after a while slips into her dreams. Most, are nightmares where she runs - is running as fast as she can, but its only in slow motion. What is she running from? So many things, and running toward so few. But Cassiel would help her through it. He's her best friend, and right now the only one she trusts..to any degree. No-matter how small. He'd been asleep before she'd said a word of graditude but she would when Dawn returns - before she left. Alittle cold, she snuggles closer.

Tempests green eyes flick open when a bird outside calls a merry song. One that she isnt sure fits her mood - its too early. At first, she isnt sure where she is, positive the last night had been a horrible dream. And though Shadows Rise still sleeps she cant help but decide that she wants pups, it wouldnt be so bad. She'd lain awake most of the night, between her nightmares and thought..and thought...and...throught. She would tell him that before she goes. Last night's agreement wasnt so...sincere...infact, it sounded more of a grudge. So this morning she would tell him. And the rest...or her...decision..
