"I stayed because I thought Wolfpaw was actually going to fight me. She was the one who instigated all of this." Falconpaw replied with a snort. The she-cat had brought this upon herself, there was no need for her to get rude when Falconpaw came over. What Falconpaw didn't realize what that she was the one who fueled the fire that started the fight, she could've been much more mature. Falconpaw scoffed as Viperpaw listed what enemies don't do. During times of crisis, someone has to look after themselves by looking after another. She was calming down, that was until Spiderpaw came. She had originally thought the apprentice was on the same page as her, but apprently not. "You want me to forget all of the Stoneclan cats who died, just so I can make friends with cats of this pitiful clan!" Falconpaw snarled more than asked. "You are Sunclan, you are clanmates, you are friends, and you are family! I am still a part of Stoneclan, and I'll never forget that!" She spat. "I'd rather forget Starclan before forgetting all of Stoneclan!" Especially before forgetting Foxstar! She watched as Viperpaw and Wolfpaw turned to leave, only for Wolfpaw to double back. "I don't need friends, especially those who want me to change who I am." She growled under her breath as Wolfpaw ran back to her friend, glaring at the leaving pair.

Cloudstrike looked at Spiderpaw, approvingly. " Well said, Spiderpaw. Shiverwhisker and Appleleaf are teaching you well." He praised. He turned back to Falconpaw. " You need to start getting along with others. I think that I'll nominate you to Thistlefang and Pebblerun for the hunting patrol." He meowed, getting up.

Falconpaw's words seemed to drip with venom as soon as Wolfpaw left and she turned to yell at Spiderpaw. The tom tried not to flatten himself to the ground in submission or fear. Instead he lashed his tail and held his head high, trying to keep his face close to hers as he frowned. "I didn't mean it that way! I never said we should forget StoneClan! We should always remember StoneClan and the joy it brought us!" He exclaimed, standing on his back legs for a few moments. "I just meant we shouldn't be dwelling on the past and blaming the other clans. It was the two-legs who brought the fire, not RainClan and FlameClan. We need to learn to work together now or we'll never get things right! And believe me, I'm still learning this myself!" Standing back on all fours, he remembered the fact that he wasn't alone in his rank. "You know how I felt when I learned that I wasn't the only Medicine Cat Apprentice? Two medicine cats and two apprentices! Yeah, at first I had wished that Appleleaf and Sprucepaw hadn't survived. But I later learned that I was thinking bitter thoughts, and after the fire I realized that even though Shiverwhisker and I are good with herbs, we wouldn't be anywhere near this far in healing without those two other Medicine Cats! Having to push three clans into one is a hard thing, I get that. But we need to start being the bigger cats. We are SunClan cats with the souls of StoneClan. We have StoneClan blood and StoneClan hearts. But we are still warriors and medicine cats. We can't sink down to the pathetic level of something other then that, Falconpaw." He took in a deep breath at that moment, having lost his breath after those words. Ears pricked, he grinned sheepishly once Cloudstrike praised him.

Falconpaw

Falconpaw glared at her paws in thought. What Spiderpaw said actually made sense. She could be Sunclan, yet still Stoneclan. What the heck! Why didn't anyone tell me sooner! Falconpaw was not a very smart cat, she's basically a big dummy, so the simple thought never occured to her. But that was because everyone continued to say that they were no longer a part of their own clan, but instead they became Sunclan. Now Falconpaw had the chance to become both! When Cloudstrike came over, her little time of enlightenment vanished. This Flameclan cat had no right to boss her around! She was stubborn; just because she could be a part of both clans doesn't mean she'll accept her old enemies. "I'm not going." Falconpaw said, glaring at the tom. She wasn't going to hunt with a bunch of Flameclan and Rainclan cats! They could eat mouse dung for all she cared!

The tiny she-cat listened at a distance to the confrontation, her usual instincts telling her to stay well out of their way. She felt a wisp of admiration for Spiderpaw's speech and agreed very much with him. Sprucepaw liked his honesty--admitting that he had wished she and her mentor hadn't survived? She knew that deep down she had the same selfish feeling for him and Shiverwhisker. But they all must respect one another. Quarreling was not what SunClan needed. Sprucepaw twitched an ear and let out a soft sigh. She wished there was more she could do--sitting around being unhelpful was not fun anyway. The young medicine cat apprentice lifted her haunches off the ground and scanned the area for Appleleaf. What was her mentor up to? Sprucepaw wondered with a twinge of guilt if she was needed. It had just been so confusing...and she was too shy to mix herself up in the middle. Sprucepaw lashed her thick, long tail and hovered on the edge, tense. She could at least go with the camp patrol to see if any herbs remained--though many other cats, many apprentices, had already volunteered and she didn't want to join such a large group. Feeling her thoughts going in circles--and her paws too, Sprucepaw wandered through the grass, instead doing a look-over to see if any cat bore wounds that needed attention.

Spiderpaw seemed a bit surprised when Falconpaw told Cloudstrike came over and told her to go on the patrol. For a moment it looked like she was actually going to think different. But that all seemed to vanish at Cloudstrike's words. Determined to not let the she-cat get in anymore trouble, Spiderpaw turned to the white and gray tom. "Cloudstrike, do you know if Eaglestar's ending out patrols to get herbs? The monster smashed all we had, and we really need more. I wouldn't mind going on a herb collecting patrol with a warrior. I'm sure Sprucepaw could come too, and Falconpaw could come too." At this, the brown tom sent a look to the older apprentice, as if questioning how she would respond. Hopefully she'd calm herself a bit and accept this, since Spiderpaw would be going and he was from StoneClan as well.
