Mistyclaw frowned. Ice and Bluepaw were mates. She felt sort of awkward. Ice was like a daughter to her, and Bluepaw is her daughter... so they were mates... "oh."

Bluepaw heard something disapproving in her mother's voice and frowned. "I don't care what you think about it because you can't choose who I'm mates with. I heard the disapproving tone," she meowed.

Mistyclaw sighed. She smiled. "I'm happy for you, sweetie... but don't you want kits?"

"No," Bluepaw meowed indignantly, still frowning. She was afraid that if she had kits, they would suffer like she did with blindness. So she didn't mind that she couldn't have any.

"Dont you want to know the feeling of having beautiful kits? The feeling that you have, your heart filling with so much warmth and love, that you could only have with your kits?" Mistyclaw purred at the thought. She remembered when Bluepaw, Waterbone, and Briarpaw were young. She enjoyed their company all the time, but now her kits barely visited her, and treated her terribly
