After telling Hawktail, I walk back out into the clearing and look around. What to do now? It seems everything's in order except the rogue kits; and Thunderstar acts reluctant to face them.

Mousekit:
"Yay!" I start drinking.

Stonekit:
"Hm?" I ask, around a mouthful of milk.

I glance at (Whats your name Scourge?), and meow "Thank you." Before looking around. I'm feeling antsy and bored, and I wish there was something that needed doing. The freshkill pile is heaped high, and it seems cats aren't eating much these days. Perhaps we're all getting sick; I hope not. Feeling nervous, I pace a few steps forward, then stop, then sit, then contemplate what I might do.

I purr, "Sure Shinepaw, let's go hunting." I say, standing, "You haven't had a mentor, so I'm eager to see what you know already. We'll start real training tomorrow!"

Foxfur:
I see Shadepelt and Windsong talking and feel a twinge of jealousy. Oh well, Windsong is a flirtatious she-cat, it doesn't mean anything.

I sigh at Windsong, "Yes, I like Foxfur... and I've told her." I say, "but it's no good for me; she didn't say what she thinks of me. I don't think she likes me back." Another deep, long exhalation, "She's a really good deputy, the best; but that also means she's dedicated to her role in the clan, and has no time for a mate or kits. I doubt she'll ever love anyone... I just wish... " I trail off, "Nevermind."
