" Well... She was..." The shecat said saddnes and grief in her voice." I will never forget her... Or my father. He died after a week I was born and even if I didn't know him I will be greatefull to the elders for telling me how brave he was and how much he loved me..." Berrypaw said in a low voice a tear coming from her eyes." I never spoke with anybody about my parents. How were...yours?" She rised her head from the nest." You don't habe to answer if you don't want to..."

The shecat let out a hiss without noticing." I am so sorry... I better didn't ask." She said seeing the other appretience lower her head." Have you seen Ashpaw?" Berrypaw tryed to change the subject. She got closer to the other shecat. " Anyway... What is between you two? I saw hiw you look at him..." The appretience said with a smile on her face.

Squirrelpaw's fur grew hot, "It's fine, I'm used to it. He's... I don't know, I guess I was attracted to those eyes, I just wanted to be friends with him, it was nice to know, I'm not the only different one." she frowned in confusion as she tried to explain, her bobbed tail flicking.

' See?! I was right! " She started jumping up and down in excitment." You like him! You like him! I knew it!'

Squirrelpaw flicked what was left of her tail in annoyance. "Not like like, we're not gonna be mates or anything. I just want him as a friend." she snorted, whiskers twitching in amusement at Berrypaw's excitement. "You and Sparrowpaw, though, you guys seem like your gonna become mates."

Fernstar stared at the medicine cat. "But we aren't fit enough to fight again! We have a warrior dead and half of the Clan is severely injured!" Then she sighed, looking at the medicine cat painfully. "I'm sorry Threeleg, you're right. We should be ready to fight for our territory at any moment." Then she nodded at his words. "But what if they aren't good enough? What if they rebel against us when I tell them to step down?"

Threeleg looked at Fernstar. He knew how hard it must be to see the Clan like this. "It's quite alright." He dipped his head at her apology before looking straight at her. "Tell he or she to talk some sense. If they don't, exile them. If they declare war, convince the other Clans that Bramblewhisker is the right choice. There's bound to be one Clan that will agree with you."

Juniperfrost sighed in relief. Then she looked at him with wide eyes. "Well, I.. I guess there is something.." She mewed, taking a breath. "I.. I like you, Bramblewhisker.. And I think I might even.. Like like you.." She whispered softly, feeling as if a weight had been taken from her shoulders.

Sparrowpaw rested his tail on Dustpaw's shoulder. "Don't worry, I know you're scared, I am too, but you can't let the fear control you. If you do, what kind of cat are you? You need to overpower your fear, and then you will find your true strength." He mewed to his friend before padding towards the den entrance. "I forgot to have Threeleg take a look at my leg, be right back." He chirped before bounding out of the den and towards the medicine den without hearing Squirrelpaw's comment. He heard Fernstar and Threeleg having a seemingly worried but quiet argument about his mentor, so he stood outside and listened. Guilt gnawed at his heart at the realisation that he was eavesdropping, but he wanted to find out what would happen to him while Bramblewhisker recovered.

Aquilo was fascinated by the tom's past. When it was his turn to share his own, he felt a tingle of excitement. He'd never told any cat about his past, not even his sister because he never grew up with her. They never shared adventures like normal siblings should. "I lived with my mother as a kittypet, because although my father was a Clan cat, he'd chosen to take my sister to the Clan simply because she was smaller. I would have given anything to join her," he paused to think back, but then continued. "But I loved my mother, and although she had no survival skills she taught me a lot. When I grew older I started going out into the forest for a bit during the day, and it was fun to just explore. I can't really remember when I decided to live in the forest for good, and I can't remember where I got my hunting and fighting skills from, but I don't remember seeing my mother's death, so I don't think she's dead, but I guess I could be wrong." He finished as they reached the cobble path.

Bone closed his eyes, the last thing he saw being a flash of pity in the warrior's eyes and a low hiss being the last he heard. Then a single squeak escaped him before everything was quiet. He was in darkness for a short moment before a foggy, dark forest surrounded him and he knew exactly where he was, but felt at peace.

'Hey!" Berrypaw snapped in annoyance and her face became red. It wasn't like she didn't like him more than as a friend but she wouldn't admit it in front of someone else than Sparrowpaw himshelf." ..." the shecat wished to say something but keep her mouth shut in embracement at Squirrelpaw's comment.
