Gingerpaw began pouncing on a leaf like a kit as he pretended it was a mouse. He wasn't sure if apprentices were aloud out of camp by themselves yet and he was getting cabin fever.

"For you two to leave me alone," Clifftail huffed, whipping away to stomp off.

Salmonfall broke out into hysterical laughter. "Foxes are red, silly. Besides, my fur is almost the same color as yours, so we'll both be brown." She nudged him gently.

Tidestar glanced at her clan. "Ripplestripe, Mapleshadow, Clifftail, Foxcloud, Foxtalon, and Stormfeather!" She called, beckoning them with a flick of her tail, she padded away from the rest of the clan. It was far enough so the other cats couldn't hear, but she could still keep a watchful eye on them.

Foxcloud's ears angled, and the small she-cat bounded towards her.

Blitzpaw moved toward Gingerpaw as he pranced on leaves, ears angled.

"Bye!" Beechpaw called after him. "We'll tell you later!" Once Clifftail was out of earshot, she turned to Herringpaw with a sigh and an annoyed look on her face. "Well that didn't go well. Grumpy old elder. You won't be that grumpy when you're an elder, will you?"

Ripplestripe stood up at the sound of Tidestar's voice. "We'd best go see what she wants," he said to Mapleshadow.

"Maybe I'll be a fox covered in mud , then." He said, laughing. "But brown actually looks good on you. I like my normal fur better."

Mapleshadow looked up at the forest again, before turning and nodding at Ripplestripe. She made her way over to Tidestar, and focused on her leader.
