She's either HAwktail's mate, or his leader. She cannot be both. Strange...

Shuffling my paws, I shake my head, "I'm ok-" but the growl of my belly interrupts me, "I guess I could eat..." I say, quietly.

I dip my head, "I'll tell them right away, go ahead and spend some time with your kits." I say, warmly, relieved, wonderfuly relieved. I look at Shadepelt, "You're mentoring Whitekit!" I tell him excitedly, then pad into the warriors den. "Hawktail, you're going to mentor Shinepaw from now on, ok?"
"Whatever." He says, but when helooks at me excitement shines through the anger. "I'll take her hunting." He adds, and exits the den.

Mousekit:
"Yay!" I squeal, "I'll be an apprentice soon, right?" I ask, nuzzling into mommys belly for milk.

"Ok!" I say, eagerly, all misgivings about our leader whipped away at the prospect of having an apprentice. And Whitekit is so keen! She'll be a great apprentice, I'm sure of it! I look around, wondering where the kit is right now. I can't wait to tell her she'll be an apprentice tomorrow!
