SunClan's Story [New Thread]

Shadowpaw's heart ached from the memories of his dead father and he wraps his tail around Songpaw to try and comfort her. "Try to forget about the past. Grieving isn't going to help you at all. I'm sure your mother appreciates all the love you are showing her, but don't you think that she'd like it better if you moved on with your life, so that she can see you grow up as a strong and brave warrior? I'm sure she'd like to see her daughter grow up, instead of living a life filled with misery and grief. My father died a couple moons before the fire, but he always told me to keep moving on, and to forget about the past." the tom tells her gently. "And, you do have friends. I'm sure the apprentices would love to take you in. I know I'd love to have you as a friend, and I'm not just saying that to make you feel better. You just need to approach them, and be yourself. here, why don't we go for a walk to talk about this?" he offers while climbing onto his paws. What he didn't tell her, though, was that he was afraid of making friends himself. Everyone he used to try and talk to would just snap at him- except for his father, and Eaglestar...of course.

Mintsplash pads up to Eaglestar, glad that she wasn't too late. The she-cat dips her head to the leader before speaking. "Hi Eaglestar! I was wondering, could I please go on the patrol too?" she mews very excitedly.

Otterkit let out purr of delight as Sephora played along. "Heh heh, you're no monster! You're too nice to be a monster." He mewed just as she curled around him, and Otterkit found himself safely tucked into her fur. Her tail was very long, and very fluffy. Though his own fur was a bit thick, it was still kit-fur and he could still get cold pretty easily. Feeling the warmth of Sephora's fur around him, Otterkit grinned happily up at her. "Huh, well that's a nice name," he mewed to her. "So are you joining Sunclan?" he asked her curiously, as he placed one paw on her tail to keep it in place.


Viperpaw's ears flickered. "Ah actually I was going to go see about joining Eaglestar's patrol back to camp," she admitted. Her tail flickered away from Duskpaw's side for a moment before resting back on his side to communicate with him. 'Are you planing on coming too?' she thought to him with her curious golden gaze.

She smiled and purred
"Do you want me to?"
The question was very sincere, even though she could guess the answer. Of coarse, her ability to stay would depend on Eaglestar. But she was sure in hard times like this the benefits of having a new warrior would be hard to ignore, especially one who didn't favor specific clan. Which meant she would treat every cat equally, possibly breaking apart and merging the groups. But who knew, maybe even the leader's feelings were weary at such a time, and there would be no reason to expect them not to be. There would be one thing that would probably bother the clan cats though, and possibly lead to slight rejection. She would want to keep her name. She was named by her mother and didn't plan on changing it. Her eyes quickly scanned the area, some cats were watching closely due to the loner being with a kit, this time their gazes didn't leave. She simply redirected her attention to the kit that was against her stomach, her tail curled around him with his paws holding it down. She smiled softly, already fond of the little guy.

Songpaw get up and walk beside Shadowpaw, with tears starting to dry up and said the tom,"Ok. And I will try to forget the past." Songpaw looked at her paws,then back at Shadowpaw and asked,"Do you really think that one day I could be a strong and brave warrior? And that the other apprentices would take me in?"

Duskpaw eyed Falconpaw curiously with his eyes gazing at her with his own orbs flaring around like a thunderstorm on the sea. He knew he didn't really like her company by her attitude, but he ignored her for now sence at the moment he was in no mood to fight. Glancing over at Viperpaw, he nodded once before replying her head with a sigh to start. "Yea I am, but I kind of forgot to ask before but, sure I will," he told her with a soft smile that found its way onto his black cheeks.

-I need to make Duskpaw, but I never made one before so I would be lost. xD-

Otterkit purred happily as he stared up at her. "I'd really like that," he admitted with a soft purr emitting from his chest. Otterkit pressed himself into Sephora's fur. "You know, you remind me of my mama," he mewed thoughtfully as he nuzzled into her fur. "I haven't seen my parents since we got here though, but I know they'll be along eventually." But there was a bit of uncertainty in his mew that seemed to echo in his words. He seemed uncertain of his own words and for a moment he was sad, but then he shook his head and then looked up at her. "Did you have anyone who's lost too? Maybe we can find them together one day."

Viperpaw grinned and managed a subtle nod. 'Sweet. We should go and see if Eaglestar will let us go then,' she thought back before turning to her friends, and Falconpaw. "Anyhow, I guess I'd better go and see if she has any spots left for the patrol then. I'll see you guys later. Oh and be careful please," she mewed before touching noses with her friends before turning and with a flick of her tail on Duskpaw's flank she began walking over to Eaglestar.
