Awkward... I clear my throat, then look down at Mousekit, "Oh, um, yes, I'm a warrior..." I say, trailing off, "Come on you four, let's get you back to the nursery." I say, the epitome of discomfort, "Your daddy needs some time alone... and your mommy has things she must do..." I explain, unsure, I start nudging the kits towards the nursery. But, to be honest, it's like herding cats.

I hunch my shoulders forward, still unable to let go of the betrayal I feel. She didn't just leave on some leader mission, she left to go hunting with another tom. And she didn't even tell me. She didn't even say 'hey, I left the kits with a queen in the nursery, be back soon!' She just left. And then, she comes back here, and keeps leaving. Ditching the kits with me, ditching them with Shadpelt. She's a queen right now, she needs to act like it. She's a leader, yes, but she's also a mother. That was her decision, and now she's neglecting that.

Mousekit:
I pad along, content to follow this Shadepelt. He's so interesting! I sigh dreamily as I pad after him, wishing I could just grow up already and be a warrior!

Stonekit:
Ashamed, afraid, starving, I stumble towards the nursery with my siblings.

Foxfur:
Thunderstar finally pads back out into the clearing. I walk over, once again feeling the turmoil of anxiety. "Are we to hold the ceremony now?" I ask, not bothering to ask about her love life. How does any cat have time for such a thing?

I give myself a shake, "Uh, yes, tomorrow. Shall I notify the new mentors?" I ask, aware she needs some time with her ktis, but still wary of a leader who's also become a queen. I'm not sure how to treat her, it's unheard of! "Just tell me who, and i'll take care of it, or I can... I could choose some mentors, I suppose..."

"Thank you Shadepelt." I mumble, over my shoulder, as the black warrior leaves with the kits. I wish I could just get over this, but I can't, she's... Thunderstar... she's untouchable, she's got nine lives... or mayb eless, but she doesn't tell me. She doesn ttrust me...
