The dilute calico sighed a bit as she tried to get to sleep but couldn't...She blinked light blue eyes and raised her head, then shook her head.

The happy but wild male twitched black ears, and his tail flicked back and forth a couple times. He said "So, um...where are these rocks you told me about?"

Fern dodged, jumping to the side. She didn’t give Skarr a chance to attack her or dodge as she ran at him and attempted to pounce at him from the side.

“Wow your really quick on your paws.” Fern smiled as she got back to her feet. She wasn’t entirely bothered when Skarr managed to graze her back. She was sure when Apprentices fought each other they didn’t get out of a fight unscathed, even if they were just training. Cats had to learn to fight eventually. Fern was trying to think of her next move. I wonder what I should do now...There’s only so much a small kit can try against a cat as big as Skarr. His speed is amazing too. she thought. Of course Skarr was older and had moons of experience whereas she had....well a day thanks to Skarr.
