This was so unexpected, Soul couldn't keep the surprise from hitting him. He padded back into the den and sat down in front of the stubborn warrior. "Ryuu," he began, "Why are you doing this? Clearly you lack ambition if you're so willing to drop your position for the sake of an apprentice, but I need the best warrior by my side, and that's you. If anything, I'm disappointed in you. It's one measly Kinari-forsaken apprentice that I asked you to mentor. I didn't think it would take that much to defeat you. Just come listen to his story and train him for these next few days, it's not going to kill you to do it."

What Yuri had told her hurt. She stared blankly for a minute. Then Wisp was just angry. What does Copper know about me? Nothing. And what does he know about being a good apprentice? Again, nothing. Ugh. She was fuming. Looking around, Wisp spied Shiko talking to Apollo. Suddenly she set her jaw determinedly; she was going to be the best apprentice anyone had ever seen. She would learn if it killed her! That would show Copper and Shiko. Shiko would love her. Yes. I'll be the best apprentice there ever was. Ready to start right now, Wisp quickly ran over to where Shiko was talking to Apollo. "Hi Shiko, is there anything I can do to help you right now?" She was probably interrupting something, but she didn't care because it was important for her to start being the best, right now.

Heron knew what Soul had said would stir up some excitement and he knew Soul wouldn't be ready right away, so while he waited for him to be ready to go, Heron padded over to Leaf Fall. "So," he said "You're Leaf Fall right? You and Soul are going to teach me the 'way of the pack', eh?" He chuckled rudely. With an eye roll, he said "Great, I can't wait."

Ryuu's eyes blazed, "If you thin it's so easy, why don't you train him?" Ryuu snapped, his bad temper flaring up again. "I don't want to be leader, I just want to stand by your side!" He stood up, hurt and anger glowing like a forest fire in his eyes. Ryuu may be bad tempered, but he was extremely loyal to the leash. "I can't stand Copper insulting the pack." Ryuu finally admitted, "It tears me apart... Everyone here is... my family." he hung his head and tails, all of his anger suddenly replaced by sadness. A tear began to roll down his cheek, and at that moment, the great and proud warrior looked utterly defeated.

Shiko's ears pricked and her eyes turned to her apprentice. Did Wisp really want to begin to learn? "Hi, Wisp." Shiko said pleasantly, though Shiko's voice was its usual monotone. "I was just asking Apollo how he was feeling after he had battled Creo. After I'm finished with him, I can teach you about more herbs." she told the small fox.

Apollo smiled at Shiko and Wisp. "I'm feeling great, Shiko. Thank you so much for everything." He knew that the leash was blessed to have such a caring alchemist such as Shiko.

Bluebell flicked her tail towards the entrance of the camp. "Follow me," she said, already walking away. Bluebell led Flare to the Warriors den, occasionally glancing behind to see if he was still following. She stopped inside the den and spun around, unable to hold it in any longer. "Creo is the father of my cubs!" Bluebell blurted out.

Wisp nodded enthusiastically. "Okay, great. I can't wait, Shiko." She looked up at the elder fox, beaming.

"Oh Ryuu..." Soul couldn't help but be moved by his friend's sadness. The leash leader went and sat beside the great fox, letting him lean against him. The two sat there for a bit, Soul silently comforting his defeated friend. Finally he said, "You will always stand by my side Ryuu. You, Leaf Fall, and Shiko are the best I could ask for. Copper has brought more drama, and more pain into the leash than I ever expected, but it is Kinari's will. She led me to him that day in the woods you know, and I have to stand by her." Soul turned and faced the SIC for this next part, "If you don't want to be his mentor, then that is fine by me. However, you will have to be the one to tell him. The day is starting, and I need to get moving. You may stay in my den as long as you like, I will send Copper your way when I'm done." The leader started to pad out of the den, but then turned and dipped his head to Ryuu. "I love you my brother, be strong..." And Soul left the den and started padding towards Shiko.

Copper watched Soul leave the den without Ryuu and he stood up, waiting to see what the leader would say to him.

((Thank you<3 It's just that like, what if they were attacked by a demon or something? The only reason for the rule is that Zargon and his demons are out and about. If they snuck out, then everyone else (you know who) would want to sneak out too again though, thanks))
