A happy looking smile formed on Bumblekit's face as this started truly becoming real. He stepped forward with the other kits only to stumble and fall sideways on top of one of them. Strong emotions such as too much excitement always hindered his motor skills even more than usual.

"Nightkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Nightpaw. Your mentor will be Sl-Foxpelt. I hope Foxpelt will pass down all he knows on to you. Foxpelt, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be the mentor of Nightpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Nightpaw." Stripestar jumps down as he walks over to Flutterkit. Your mentor will be Hawkspirit. I hope Hawkspirit will pass down all she knows on to you. Hawkspirit, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be the mentor of Flutterpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Flutterpaw. And now I believe Spottedleap has something she wanted to say."

Bumblekit stood back up, putting more effort into keeping upright than he ever had in his life. The entire clan was watching them and he didn't want to make any more of a fool of himself than he already had. He grew more and more disheartened with every kit that Stripestar named. A part of him had been hoping that Spottedleap had made a mistake and didn't want him as her apprentice but now he was realizing that it was true. He would have to become a medicine cat apprentice much to his disappointment.

(sheepcloud is leafpaw's father. kin, especially parents to kits, don't normally mentor kin...)
