"I think I've heard of you someplace before." She admitted to him in a nonchalant manor, this time she knew she was talking to the right cat, his identity, his description; it all matched. "You have a brother, right?" She asked, testing him to watch his expression as she waited to see what he would say next. She was eventually going to reveal that his brother had asked about him, but she decided she would get on good terms with him first.

Adderfang sat outside of the nursery near Silverbrook while Mistystar began the clan meeting. Once she started the warrior ceremonies, Adderfang was sure to be the loudest when the entire clan chanted the warrior's new names. When the leader had finished her announcement, he turned to his mate with a cheerful grin. "Isn't it the most wonderful thing Silverbrook? Our son has returned to us, and he is a warrior now too!"

The blade of grass she entertained herself with had been long lost in the patch of bright green grass that stretched out in front of them. "Sounds just like Rowanpaw. But I am certain she won't act that way forever, younger cats change with time, and your sister will too." She reassured him, and somehow, her words made her feel reassured about her own problems at the same time.

The gray tom frowned, at first Styx's idea didn't seem too realistic. Though it soon dawned on him that nothing had stopped Mistystar from coming to the border, nothing had stopped her from bringing Crystal back to MistClan with her. "Yeah.. I'm sure they would mind that too much, right?" he grinned sarcastically.

Snare quickly crossed the narrow thunderpath after the last monster in the long line had passed. Then, he turned and started heading west down a smooth, concrete path. The sidewalks lead him to a block of twoleg houses, but he knew where he was headed. That day, it had been sort of chilly, and he had to admit, the first few times he had slept indoors, it was kinda nice. So now, Snare had aimed to spend the night at a friend's, though he wasn't entirely sure he knew which house it was, or if he still lived there, it had been a long time since he visited these parts. Still determined, he headed down the very first row of houses, the ones that directly faced to the woods in which he had lived for many moons. He hoped he would recognize the house when he found it; barely anything looked the same now as it did then.

Sandwhisker headed outside wondering how Tiger, or Tigerkit was doing. It had been moons since she had brought the young one to MistClan while her two-legs took her other kits, but it still stung. She nimbly jumped onto the fence. It seemed her agility had not yet been lost, and she was grateful for it. Lazily watching the surroundings, she noticed a confused looking tom entering the neighborhood. "Are you lost?" She called to him.

Crystalkit put her body out of the strong sun rays and walked over to the river where the apprentices where, spraying each other with water. She slowly starting to slip in, smiling at her brother since he helped her in and kept her from sinking.

Nightpaw winced at the splash war he and Crowpaw were having, but stopped to watch Crystalkit step out of the bright shine of glorious light she was just basking in. He swam to the edge of the river, helping her settle in. He held his tail under her to help her float.

Lilypaw let out a groan of exhaustion as Snowpelt went out. As soon as the meeting was over and she noticed he was talking to Roseclaw, the apprentice turned to Rowanpaw. "I better apologise to my brother about me climbing that tree.. Anything else you want to tell me before I go out?" she asked the she-cat, squinting at the pain which heaved on her bruised flank.

[Lilypaw's got no crush because one, I ship Duskstorm/Lynxpool so hardly you don't even know and two, Lynxstorm's a warrior now.]

( After the swimming thing, just have her be able to talk. I mean, nobody ever really specifies how the kits learn to speak. I'd think that if she understands others, she can communicate with words too. )

Crowpaw stopped splashing so Crystalkit wouldn't immediately soaked. He watched as Nightpaw helped her to float and wonderwd if they'd need any help. It didn't seem they would, so Crowpaw lazily swam around as they did their thing, careful not to stray too far away.

[Good idea. After swimming for a bit, Crystalkit will go to the nursery for a rest - accompanied by Nightpaw - and then wake up talking. I'm not going to make a big deal out of it, so I'll just pretend everybody knew she could talk already.]

Crystalkit listened to her brother carefully as he explained the first step to swimming. Underwater, her paws were kicking hardly with all the force she could produce. She felt Nightpaw's grip release from her and suddenly realized she was swimming. Gasping, Crystalkit turned to her brother with a huge smile.

"First, kick your paws against the water and control your legs. Be sure to keep them strong, or you'll lose weight." he instructed, dipping his head underwater to watch her. "Good." he gurgled, lifting his cranium above the water. Nightpaw took his tail away from under her and looked at her as she started paddling forward. "You're doing it!" the apprentice said to his sister with a grin, starting to swim beside her. "Come on, Crowpaw! Let's go until we reach the other side!" little did Nightpaw know it got deeper there, wheras here his sister could just touch the pebbled ground.

Crowpaw left them enough space so he wouldn't be in the way, but was still near enough he could hear and see the two siblings. When Nightpaw called him over, he nodded and started swimming to them. "You know, it might've been better to teach her in the lake, where we wouldn't have to fight against the current," he noted to Nightpaw. "But I guess it's too late now." He continued swimming on the other side of Crystalkit then Nightpaw.

Crystalkit felt her paws being lifted off the floor. She was swimming in deep water now. Unable to keep up, she began to slow down and soon her two apprentice friends were in front of her. As hard as she tried to float, it wasn't any use. The water dragged her down and she became weak, losing all her strength.

Nightpaw began to forget the coldness and just enjoy nature, admiring the larks in the trees, all beautifully singing. A couple of small hares and squirrels rustling in the grass, it was amazing. "Yeah... I haven't been to the lake in a while though, and my mother once told me a tale that it was known as the death pool, where lots of cats died or sacrificed themselves to Starclan. Crystalkit's never even heard of it." he told Crowpaw. Nightpaw noticed Crystalkit was no longer at his side. Looking back, he saw nobody. "Crowpaw - We've lost Crystalkit!" he exclaimed, putting his head underneath the water. It was all murky so he couldn;t see anything, and neither sense movement.

Crowpaw wasn't watching Crystalkit, so he didn't notice when she lagged behind. "That's crazy. I mean, StarClan is great and all, but I wouldn't think that cats would die on purpose to get there. Because once you're dead, there's no going back," he meowed, thinking to himself. When Nightpaw cried out that they'd lost Crystalkit, he muttered something unintelligible under his breath while looking around for a shadow underwater that might be Crystalkit. When he saw something that was too large to be a fish, he dived down and pushed the lump towards the direction of shore with his muzzle.
